But i never have bashed any modder or mod and i never going to do that, like you eediots are doing.

My new BWP 16 is ready and it's even bigger and better than previous ones.

Now i'm retiring this EE site, it was fun here until EE came and destroyed this site. :(

 

I'm not planning to come back here any time soon if ever, unless something good happens like EE dies screaming in agony and pain. What i wonderul dream, oh well i can always hope and dream.

I'm checking this CreatePatches "thing" (i'm curious of about it and maybe test it) but i couldn't find this "_utils\_diffgawk" subfolder (contains diff.exe, gawk.exe, libiconv2.dll, libintl3.dll) in BiG-World-Fixpack-master.rar nor at github site or am i totally wrong about this and it's somewhere there or is this CreatePatches just for your own use.

Care to elaborate how exactly EE "killed" modding? I say modding these days is just fine. There are bunch of new modders out there with heads full of ideas how to use new opcodes and unhardcoded stuff provided by EE.

Granted, major Megamods may not be converted to play along with EE's at all, but majority of the most popular mods already are.

You are talking about EE modding not BG modding.

 

I don't comment this issue any further.

 

 Then there is 5 sidekicks (Imoen, Fade, Tyris, Rukrakia and Avi Maya this time) aka 4 girlfriends (2 pregnant) and 2 child already in backpack (mothers Aerie and Skie kicked out) and Imoen (no ToB romance yet in this BWP but next BWP has), Afaaq and Packmule, none of those (low stats and exp) are useful in final battles (just get in the way and dying).

It sounds you had ton of fun in this playthrough.  :ROFL: I wonder how good Rukrakia mod is as this is one of rare mods that didn't made it in my BWP:crying: Anyway I hope that your next campaign will be even more epic and interesting. Cheers mate.  :cheers:

Well, i liked Rukrakia a lot  :naughty: but then again i like almost all female NPCs a lot, sad that there's only 5 slot in use, i could use lot more. :lol:

Mcbaldur. Could we have some screenshots of your final party? Their stats, items, etc. I am immensely curious!

Well, i don't know how to attach pictures and don't care to learn. :P

 

Besides there isn't much to see. Just CHARNAME max out exp, stats and everything else you can get from various items, able to alone deal with everything that game can throw agaist, practically like M1 Abrams battletank. Then there is 5 sidekicks (Imoen, Fade, Tyris, Rukrakia and Avi Maya this time) aka 4 girlfriends (2 pregnant) and 2 child already in backpack (mothers Aerie and Skie kicked out) and Imoen (no ToB romance yet in this BWP but next BWP has), Afaaq and Packmule, none of those (low stats and exp) are useful in final battles (just get in the way and dying).

 

Even the best things eventually come to an end. Thank you Micbaldur for your invaluable contributions and relentless bug hunting in the best game ever ( for me, at least  :P ). Sad to see you going, things are starting to feel kinda lonely for us remaining BGT die hard fans...  :(

I have to agree with you, BG1+TotSC and BG2+ToB aka BWP is best game ever  :woot: and past 10 years i haven't played practically anything else maybe little modded Icewind Dale I/II, modded Diablo II, modded KotOR 1/2 or modded Freelancer (Crossfire mod) between BWP installs.

 

Sad thing is, what time couldn't do EE  :new_bottom:  did aka killed BG modding.  :(  So no point for me hang around here anymore.

 

Planning and repairing my next BWP with couple added mods and updated mods NEJ, TS and so on. Then palying BWP continues. :ROFL:

Congratulations micbaldur!  Your CHARNAME's quest has been truly legendary.  I hope you will do a similar thread for your next adventure.

Well, ithis was my retirement announcement from public life so to speak, so there's no more public adventures of CHARNAME, sorry.

 

This BWP install was multiromance friendly and i romanced all female NPCs. No problems encountered.

Just a personal opinion : don't try this in real life :ROFL:

Actually now that you mention it ... why not ... :woot: ... but ... after thinking little about it maybe not. :P

Couple problems encountered at THrone of Bhaal.

 

Throne of Bhaal: Problem with Sendai (like previous BWPs years ago). When she dies game freezes (in earlier BWPs it might also CTD or works OK). Don't know what causes this and didn't bother to check this any further, because game is finished.

 


Throne of Bhaal: Something is wrong with Solar dialogue file (FINSOL01.DLG). After Afaaq has talked dialogue cuts.

At FINSOL01.DLG there's odd trigger 1085:

Global("LK#Nephele_FinSol","GLOBAL",0)

which follow some Nephele talks but she's not in party. When talking to Solar again everything works because action 830:

SetGlobal("LK#Nephele_FinSol","GLOBAL",1)

global was set and that trigger doesn't fire anymore and talks works ok after that. Then again i could be totally wrong.

 

Oh well all good things comes to end in due time like now this BWP after 16 months of hard gaming.

 

So ends the excellent adventures of CHARNAME and he has ascended to non-EE plane, where nobody has ever heard of abhorrent EE.

 

This topic has outlived it purpose and it's time close this.

Cespenar item enhancements dialogue: Also Cespenar has started to show same kind oddities and blindness in finding items to enhance, same as Cromwell did. But overall dispite these problems it's possible to find and enhance all items (sometimes need to drop other item/s).

 

Fixing or overhauling these Cromwell and Cespenar dialogue problems is beyond my skills as usual. :P

Encountered little problem with Foundling: Between The Shades mod.

 

Foundling: Between The Shades: Repeating Friendly Talk 11 at ToB because global is set wrongly. At L#FOU25J.DLG changed actions 14-18 from:

to:

Made fix for future installs.

Little clafication from this issue.

 

This is not problem caused by Wheels Of Prophecy mod, problem is that some odd reason before/during/after cutscene CUT240A.BCS area script AR5505.BCS is fired and to my knowledge it should be fired at any point while visiting Monastery (AR5505) at cutscene mode, then again i could be totally wrong (happens a lot though) but it hasn't happen before in my games (i have used Wheels Of Prophecy many years and in many installs without any problems).

which takes party to Pocket Plane (AR4500) and Solar. I don't understand why this happens as usual. :lol:

Probably global "HadBhaal25Dream3" needs to be set to 1 earlier but that may lead to problems with proper cutscene CUT235A.BCS. Didn't bother to investigate any further as usual. :D

"Fixed" by removing that block from AR5505.BCS because it's useless in my game (never happens because i always kill Sendai first then Abazigal and Balthazar last).

One problem encountered at Amkethran.

 

Er'vonyrah (Sovereign) and BoM Item Pack: There's little compability problem with these mods. Strange Wizard (CRSTMA.CRE) (Er'vonyrah (Sovereign)) and Bion (O!BION2.CRE) (BoM Item Pack) are at same place near sundial at Amkethran (AR5500.ARE). During fight Bion (neutral during the fight but still) get slaughtered, so no chance to shop Taluntain's items anymore. "Fixed" by adding MINHP1.ITM to Bion so that he don't get slaughtered.

Sadly Lollorian burnt out last february (hopely he comes back sometime in future) so nobody maintains BWP Fixpack anymore. :(

 

Problems i have encountered after february hasn't checked, confirmed and fixed by anybody. :(

 

You could make your own fixes either by making your own fixpack patches (remember to add BWP Fixpack fixes tooif there are any) or editing (don't if this easy to do while pausing BWS or before you start BWS) directly to various mod files if you know how to do it. Third option is to fix game after BWS finished installing by using NI.

After that you can run your individual installation (choose installing using individual.bat) and enjoy BiG World :-)

Thank you for your detailed explanation and patience. I will try as soon as I download all the MODs I am interested in. For I have never installed the BWP using BWP Installpack before, there is still a question . You mean you use individual.bat immediately regardless of “BiG World Install.bat”? Could I start my installation from “BiG World Install.bat” after the preparation as your instruction?

You start BWP by "BiG World Install.bat" (choose installing using individual.bat when bat-file asks) then it uses automatically at right time and place your edited "individual.bat", then wait few hours (depending how many mod you choose) and you have BWP game to play. :D

Couple Ascalon Breagar NPC ToB problem encountered.

 

Ascalons Breagar NPC: Dialogue problem. Breagar tries to initiate dailogue but nothing happens then he "stutters" and tries to initiate dialogue over over again.

Then stutter is gone, i don't understand why those locals are there because they are useless (no realated dailogue) as far as i know, then again i might be totally wrong again. :P

 

 

Ascalons Breagar NPC: Problem with Breagar's Tower of Anstinus quest. At the end of quest Silver Dwarf Lady teleports me to North Forest (AR6400). Then i'm teleported to Amkethran (AR5500) even i don't have defeated Yaga-Shura yet so i'm at chapter 8. I don't understand why this happens. Also Breagar ends ups having 2 Berronar's axe +6 in inventory.

Cromwell dialogue: CtB items Oak Pole (CBDRSWOD.ITM), Smelted Ore (CBRNGMTL.ITM) and Titanium Rod (CBNRTHM2.ITM) (probably other CtB class quests items too but don't have those) prevents Cromwell noticing vanilla BG2 item upgrades.

 

What is this I don't even ... how to fix such crap ?

"Bug" that neither Hoppy or Lollorian dared to touch. :P

Setup-RevisedBattles.tp2 patches UDMASTER.CRE:

then XPmod reduces it to 17,000 XP (i use 75%).

I've rechecked this overwrite problem with Revised Battles and Ascalon Breagar.

 

I'm pretty sure that erebusant has accidently forgotten to remove this UDMASTER.CRE overwrite from tp2.

 

I compared (with NI) cre-files from RevisedBattles/brain/cre install folder, ingame and patching produre from tp2. It looks like that they are almost identical only XP value differs, i think that erebusant just increased xp value of Master Brain.

 

Fixed this overwrite in Setup-RevisedBattles.tp2 and changed:

COPY ~RevisedBattles/brain/cre~            ~override~
     ~RevisedBattles/brain/itm~            ~override~
     ~RevisedBattles/brain/bam~            ~override~

to:

COPY ~RevisedBattles/brain/itm~            ~override~

Also removed unneccessary workaround from Micmod.

 

Well i could be totally wrong (known to happen a lot :P ) but i don't think so this time. :D

Ninde NPC and TDD workaround fix: Also LK#NINDJ.DLG needs editing. Made workaround fix for future installs.

Rangers (probably) and Paladins don't get priest spells (only empty spell slots) level 5 and up. It's just odd, not big deal.

Holy Avenger Kit: Mod overwrites cre-files and Forest Clearing (AR2807.ARE) at Suldanessellar. Only couple problems though. I'm not planning to make patching fix (don't know how to patch cre-files).

Holy Avenger Kit: There's compability problem at Forest Clearing (AR2807.ARE) with mods "Black Dragon help (a mighty paladin will help you fight the black dragon in the elven city + better paladins at Bodhi fight) REQUIRES EXTRA ITEMS" component and BPs "Improved Suldanessallar" component. Made compability tweak for future installs.

The Undying: Ninafer NPC dialogue trigger problem at Forest Clearing (AR2807.ARE) at Suldanessellar. Made fix for future installs.

Holy Avenger Kit: Mod overwrites Reirra's store (SUELF10.STO) at Suldanessellar. Made patching fix for future installs.

Revised Battles and Ascalons Breagar NPC: Made tweak for overwriting issue for future installs. Thanks 10th. :cheers:

Ninde NPC and TDD workaround fix (preventing SUELLE3.DLG edit) needs little more tweaking for to be fully working. Checking needed tweaking after TDD megaquest is over.
