Well I've visited the Tsujatha mod site ... waiting on aproval to join so I can post ... but it looks as though the translation files are definitely it.

Seems they fixed the "e" s with the symbols above them. But only in the "EE" version. 

I wish I could fix this myself ... is there nothing I can do?

tried searching for a match to my problem ... didn't find one ... so here's the issue i'm having ....

any time Tsujatha mentions the name of a person or place, a copyright symbol appears in the name.

it's not that big a deal ... really ... except it's making me dizzy when i read it ... i love getting old. not.

so any ideas? any help?

You probably will need to re-cheat one more time after you fix this, but after that the effect is over.

Now then, go to the Gen_bif/0/backup/ -folder, it has a lot of sub-folders, and search the "xnewarea.2da" -file, K4thos had a , instead of the . in it. Now copy that to the override folder and then open that file with Notepad, and copy paste the text it has to a post here. (it should help us to help you).

 

As a side note, if you can't find the file or it has wookies attacking it, aka you copy the text to a post but do not know what else to do... you could just replace the whole content of the file with this:

Drop the files you want to use in the override folder. They should be found in their respective mod folders.

 

I suppose when you say "override folder is empty" it's because your game was "biffed"? I don't use the cleanup option and haven't biffed my games in a while with EEs being free of lag even with 30k files including whole areas It probably also deletes the mods' files and folders which is what you mean by "it wouldn't let me"?

oh you know you are right ... i did choose that option "that time" ... i have since learned.

and thanks ... oh and i recently found that using the shadow keeper fixes this nicely.

Not sure how or why ... but if it's because of a mod or a fix ... I would like it "unfixed".

Unless of course it is a bug ...

If I use the "setcurrentxp" AT ALL it screws up my game.

Every time I restart (reload,whatever) it reverts my current xp to the minimum of some obscure low level ... takes me FOREVER to level up that way. This is a royal pain in the ass. If I could fix or unfix it myself I would. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this from a mod?

Well then I am REALLY mad !! I did a "search" with the topic of which this falls under ... "trouble at the end of ToB" so that I wouldn't be creating a duplicate post and annoy the admins and modders, and was directed here. To hell with it then, I will NO longer use that ridiculous option.

Ok so monster crashes - do you have the lolfixer installed? Any error logs? I'll have a look at the round mound you mentioned in the weekend and check if I can narrow down the creature causing the crash

 

You sure this is a Tashia problem btw?

I haven't played that in a while, I finished it and was complaining that the end story line crap is missing ... which was my main reason for posting here. So I imagine whatever error logs I had are long gone or replaced with many new ones.

Well, I suppose so, since I don't remember going through and taking that OFF the install list in the BWS.

When you click on the ... erm ... round mound thing in the middle to get the wardstone ... the monsters begin to appear and then the game crashes. Happens EVERY time. That's why I know the code ... I have been cheating in the wardstone with console.

Bottom right ... mound thingy ...

Thanks a lot for that wonderful mod! I think you ruined me for any other possible romances (do not talk about Anomen - it's a horror, DG should scrap from his list of characters in general, but for any other romantic mods as well). Perfectly in character, full of comments for any situation and with ability to ask opinion or comment for anything, amazing love-scenes - just perfect!

P.S. Was so excited that missed and obvious ""Incredible Writing" topic summing up all feelings about HD mod much better. Still, should not hurt to hear it again - BEST MOD EVER!

Just because YOU don't like someone to romance doesn't mean they should be scrapped. I like romancing Anomen. I also like romancing ..so far ... every character I've tried. Variety is nice. It keeps one interested in the game. Let's keep this civil and just say "yay to Haer'Dalis"! He IS really awesome.

At the VERY end of ToB ... before the credits roll, they (usually) give story endings. Right? Wrong.

I got one. Balthazaar. I have six characters including myself which did not get mentioned.

Is it because of BP? I can do without it. Half of it doesn't work anyway.

Also ... anyone having issues with the wardstone #4, ToB, Yaga-Shura's Enclave?

Well, I ran the BWS. It appeared to be working fine. Alas ... it was not meant to be. Figures.

Anyway, the baseline stuff seems to be working fine, and even some of the mods and NPC's.

 

So far ... the trouble areas are ....

Anytime I run into anything associated with them I get a blank dialogue screen.

If I click on the blank (continuosly) I see my characters name scroll through multiple times

on the side with nothing for comments and EVENTUALLY it lets you "end" it.

However I have no idea what I said to the person or they me.

Any thoughts?

I dunno but Ostar recently faced something similar - have a look at Mad Mate's instructions

So how can I pinpoint this issue? What could be going wrong between the dialog.tlk being called and a specific numbered entry from ? mod not showing on screen?

I had this problem in my game, and fix is simple:
go to BWP_workspace directory in your game-dir, and copy/rename dialog.bak to main-dir dialog.tlk.

I renamed the dialog.bak to dialog.tlk then copy/pasted it to the main directory.

Worked like a charm!. Thanks guys! Hugs for everyone!

@Izzy it sounds like your dialog.tlk got FUBAR'd. My best guess, those three mods installed with the wrong language, and wrote their strings to the wrong file, meaning this strings are missing in your game.
 

the mod causing it is the one installed before iwdification and after !BInfinitySounds, which according to my change log is SPELLPACKB6. If you have followed the proposed install sequence of BWP and have no other spell mods installed in between those two, this is where the problem starts.

In my experience, Spell Revisions and SpellPack B6 don't play well together. *Especially* when it comes to Web. You can't avoid it in SR (unless you do some .tp2 surgery), so the answer is to avoid anything relating to Web in SpellPack.

Well that's odd because I didn't install any of those. Is one or more of the "fixes" that I was forced to take the cause? Seriosly this is getting anoying.

I now have 2 more mods that are jacked up. Is there a way to fix the language? I chose English, what the heck else am I supposed to do?

i have already updated everything I can and turned off everything I can.

I don't know why this keeps happening. It's only here at SHS.

And only some of the mods.

Totally weird.

So what the hell is going on? Why can I download everything offsite of SHS and then

a smattering of mods here?

I just installed (again ) the BWP/S etc ... only this time when I went to change the NPC pics (bioware's, my choice of Kelsey, Ajantis, and other romancable NPC's)

it wouldn't let me. I have chosen the after-clean-up option previously but it never prevented me from changing the pics before. Now when I try it, the override folder is empty.

I am really pissed. I hate the pics I am "forced" to use. Is there anything I can do?
