#605399 Worldmap bug with map transfers

So a bit of detective work, curtiousy of roxanne.

 

 

"I think I found the source of the trouble.
 
The EET version includes an attempt to add the Bremen areas to the EET worldmap and in that process removes the original travel triggers. 
 
The issue is that this is done without checking the worldmap in use for the overall installation and if other mods require BP-BGT_worldmap, it does not work. The old triggers are removed but the areas are not on the worldmap.
 
This *improvement* was implemented on wrong assumptions and should be corrected."
 
I have no idea if the mod author is still active, but maybe if he can see this it will be correct for future installs/runs

Hello, I've been trying to complete the quest finding lorine's brother and the missing hunter, but i'm unable to go to a new map when i click on the wheel to go to the next screen, it just takes me to the world map that focuses on the amn city gates. So i'm just stuck doing the underground cult and the morale of the villagers.

I don't think this mod works at this present state for me, shar-teel doesn't remotely spawn in the prison despite the fact i've talked to eltan, got a paper from narlan and have talked to everyone in the flaming fist compound.

 

 

Can anyone confirm this?

Wanted to let you guys know of a few bugs.

 

 

During the quest to find the cousin who went missing by the campfire and was killed by orcs, it seems the very last room you meet troll bane you have an additional room that you can go up in, however it crashes to desktop whenever you try to enter it.

 

 

The slaying of the ogre mage with shilo doesn't seem to work, he is missing and this is after i've already completed the cloakwood mines.

 

 

The book of ignorance quest has no NPC at sundries to start it at all and near infinity can't detect any creature by the name of friar. While Shilo does exist in the former mentioned quest but doesn't spawn.

When i go to test the mods, it says that "BG1 Unfinished Business" is "defunct"  This is a bit troublesome as it has had issues trying to be installed and executed before, and was wondering if this had anything to do with it.

Does this new verison fix the bug during the last  quest where you enter the flaming fist room and it CTD after finding the dwarf and adding him to the party. This was during the oto's nephew quest.

Which game classic, BGT or EET did you use when this happened? It is not a known bug for NTotSC and I never encountered it. neither in BGT nor in EET. It may has well have been caused by some other mod changing creatures or animations.

 

 

EET, if that is the enhanced edition trilogy that is.

Just to make sure, after the megamod installs is it safe to run anti-virus for a scan or would it screw up the order?
A scan post-install shouldn't screw up order.

I suspect most people running BWS have Microsoft Defender built into Windows, and likely another anti-virus product as well that came with their PC and are having no problems leaving them on when they do the install.

But every once in a while you could run into an issue with anti-virus (or even Microsoft SmartScreen built right into Windows) blocks one of the installers because it doesn't know what it is. So it is better to err on the side of caution and disable these programs while the install runs.

 

 

Cool thanks, One quick question. I was checking dependencies on SCS. Does it change the way lower resistance works with mustard jelly? I was doing a bit of testing and i had to spam 4-5 of them in order to at least have 4 of the 5 magic missiles hit.

Noob question, But if i select expert componet for my BG1:EE and BG2:EE  and go to investigate dependencies, I see a lot of mods auto deactivated. Is it that way because of incompatibility? 

Do you mean *not pre-selected* or do you mean *deactivated* in the sense that they are not shown and you are not able to select them for inclusion?

 

Not pre-selected. I set my main level to expert before browsing. Then when i went  to choose for my own components, it seemed that a lot of random mods weren't selected to begin with. Some were recommended, Some were i think maximized? But yeah. For instance, if i were to select expert setting  right below the path of my two directories in the beginning, Region  of Terror would turned off in the list of big mods.
