I think
~BG2_TWEAKS/SETUP-BG2_TWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3001 // Higher HP on Level Up -> NWN Style
is your problem. Wulfgar is a barbarian, right?

#356725 Timeframe for learning WeiDU

Posted by Gort on 31 October 2007 - 01:48 AM in IE Modding Discussion

I've recently gotten the option of taking a long weekend for myself (roughly 4 days), which I only get to do about...twice a year. I've been toying with a possible home-made NPC mod in my head, but I can't code to save my life outside of some basic functions on a specialized derivative of Python. I'm not talking about making anything complex or overly long. Probably just a banter per Bioware NPC, a couple of interjections, and a portrait.

Is it possible to get a basic grasp of WeiDU (and make a working-but-bare-bones NPC mod) on one's own within a 4-day timespan, barring real life interference?

weidu itself won't take much time if you have any experience with any programming. More time will be spent learning IE features. With proper knowledge, and prepared content, coding an NPC with 1 banter per a bioware NPC, a couple interjections would take about 2 hours, I think. But beware, modding is addictive=).
(Though I'd not spent my only weekend in a half of a year to create so simple NPC. I'd use existing ones=)).

#355242 WoW-ized BG2 Characters

Posted by Gort on 24 October 2007 - 12:52 AM in Layers of Reality

I think the models would look better (=more suit bg2 style), if they weren't wearing so much glimmering over-70 level sets. Seems too pompous to me.

#353796 Etiquette on resurrected mods?

Posted by Gort on 17 October 2007 - 11:22 PM in Mod Resurrections

If it is a small mod (DS is what you keep in mind, right?), I'd just make it myself from the very start. Nobody could be blamed for that.

#352575 BGII CTD on rest in Irenicus' dungeon - how to fix?

Long time passed since I launched SK last time, but afair you should set game directory and restart it, then you'll be able to edit things

#351974 Getting Ariena 2.0 running

Posted by Gort on 08 October 2007 - 11:57 PM in IE Help

I wonder why I have to do this perse at BWL? It is already announced that I will take 'MW'. I will try and see if I can find the right topic at BWL. That not all of my globals work with that for the moment is because I will clean up later.

because the list is mantained at BWL). I don't know where did you anounce it, but I doubt anyone would look if prefix is already taken in any other place then the list. Topic is hard to miss, but here you are, anyway: http://forums.blackw...p?showtopic=113

#351947 Getting Ariena 2.0 running

Posted by Gort on 08 October 2007 - 09:46 PM in IE Help

trigger should be not
~("ArienaRedemption","GLOBAL",1)~
,
but
~Global("ArienaRedemption","GLOBAL",1)~
.
And really, register your prefix for variables etc. You can do it at BWL

#351710 Adding effects to creatures

how incredibly stupid.. For convenience I used Protection From Undead scroll om PC prior to summoning a mummy - for it not attacking me. This was the root of the problem.

#351286 Specifics.ids usage

Posted by Gort on 06 October 2007 - 01:55 AM in IE Modding Discussion

I mean, take the greatest number used in the game (255?), count rows, subtract 3 from it (original game count), add the result to the greatest number and that would be your variable. That's how I'd do that if I needed.

#351280 Specifics.ids usage

Posted by Gort on 06 October 2007 - 01:46 AM in IE Modding Discussion

you can just which values are already in use, take the greatest, see if it's greater then 102 and start with it if it is (+mod added enties amount, if there any)

#351273 Specifics.ids usage

Posted by Gort on 06 October 2007 - 01:27 AM in IE Modding Discussion

edit: stupid post

#351270 Specifics.ids usage

Posted by Gort on 06 October 2007 - 01:20 AM in IE Modding Discussion

It won't require patching every spell that refers to specific .ids. But of course, spells that you want to alter have to be patched. What's the problem? use a variable

#351261 Specifics.ids usage

Posted by Gort on 06 October 2007 - 01:08 AM in IE Modding Discussion

I'm not sure I understand what are you saying. A creature has its own specific identifier. It it's the same as listed in .EFF file, the effect will be applied. If you don't change cre's identifier, nor effect, why would something else require fixing?

it won't

#350825 copy/paste Bladurs Gate installation

Posted by Gort on 04 October 2007 - 03:12 AM in IE Help

Solaufein, I do hope you save some space by only storing one copy of the CD2, CD3, CD4, and CD5 files on the hard drive, by directing the Alias'es in the baldur.ini into the C:\Program Files\interplay\BGII - SOA1, or something like that. It saves more than 2 gigs. ^_^

Space is of no consequence. My hard drive is quite large as is my other drives on my PC. I have 12.8G being used on one Black Isle folder as it is.  :)

- I have backups of BG1, BG2, BGT installations, their override folders seperately, and several BG2 (and BGT) installations. I guess it takes about 20-25 gigs altogether=)

#350816 copy/paste Bladurs Gate installation

Posted by Gort on 04 October 2007 - 02:27 AM in IE Help

run bgmain.exe, not baldur.exe. If It won't work, then you need registry entries, which means installation of SoA+ToB

item is way another thing. I'll mail you .cre, but no earlier then tomorrow - I don't have the file with me and don't have internet access at home. You can rather check it yourself - takes 1 minute.
