Did some more testing with a new and fresh game - the basic romance does start as it should, so it seems whatever the error is, it is probably limited to the flirt type interactions, since those gave me the same weird dialogue as before.

Ah, how annoying. And I was nearly through SoA too. I suppose the ToB part of the mod will be messed up too if I carry on that far? If so, I guess I may go back, purchase Siege of Dragonspear and then restart.

You don't HAVE TO update...

Too late now, sadly. :) I'll make sure not to let it auto-update in the future.

Ah well, it seems that yesterday's Steam update really messed things up with the dialouge, which is strange given that it looked like it should only affect the ui. Anyway, upon attempting flirts, the wrong dialogue options for Edwin are displayed, and I get snippets of his ToB dialogue instead of the flirt options. Tried fully uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, but the problem remains.

Having just returned to playing BG2 after quite some time, many thanks to those who have kept this mod alive and functional! I am currently running through it on BG2 EE, Steam version, and everything has worked perfectly until I ran into a problem. After the Red Wizard fight, the teleport ring is not recognized by the game as a working item, and so I am stuck in the room without a door wondering why I thought it was a good idea to write myself into a corner like this, so to speak.

 

Anyway, does anybody know if there is a way to fix this? It would be a pity if I had to ditch EE just to make Edwin behave himself. Upon (Re)Installing the mod, it says it is installed with warnings, but I can't see a way to check what those warnings actually are. The other mods I'm running are the BG2 Tweak pack, some components of Big Picture, and Improved Asylum fight.

 

 

Edited: Never mind - I figured out what I was doing wrong, and the teleport did work. Still curious about the 'warnings' though.
