#209951 BGIII

Posted by Child on 13 June 2005 - 12:08 PM in Baldur's Gate Series

What about a prequel that focused on the city, rather than the events in bg1/2.
I wanna know what happened to Balduran either before or after he sailed into the sun. He always struck me as a bit cool. :D

Actually, whilst I'm throwing out ideas left right and centre:

i) what about focusing on another Bhaalspawn? (go on, I dare you. Come up with one problem for that that i can't come up with a solution to ;) )

ii) What about Gorion. How did he start out? How did he become so dam powerful? And why does his magic missile spell rox more than yours ever can? (*sob*)

And one final thing: where is this information available on the web? I wanna find somewhere that this is "Official." There have been rumours kicking around for YEARS. I want conformation before i start buying party balloons. Especially as I'm donig A levels atm. Don't want sleepless nights in the middle of exams for nothing....

Hmm. Ok..That article appears all over the place, but Atari don't have anything on their website, and neither do PCGamer. So is this all the info we have? That was what, nearly a year ago? And they still haven't announced who they have working on it?

Hmm...if it comes out it will be a miracle...people have been clamouring for it for years...and as long as they don't turn it into a cash cow, then things should be ok...I just hope that whoever is in charge of it has the sense, if it is not nearly as good as it should be, to put the lid on it and say: no more!

I've tried to do the black hair.
In the middle picture something is wrong with the hands. I am not sure what,
maybe they are too small.

View Post

Um..the left hand has a thick black outline around it..which may be your problem..and the two hands don't seem to relate to each other size-wise in the middle picture...although its hard to tell so i might be wrong. They're good tho :D

Hmm...is there any way i can easily modify it so that the phaere portrait appears in bg2 when i talk to her? I like that so much i wanna edit it into my game :D ITs REALLY good :D

#191147 PST for a female Nameless One

Just post a few examples.  :)

View Post

Ok then....

A little info..this is b4 annah joins, when morte makes a comment about annah, and selling herself....there is a scripted interjection by morte, and so the responses have to be vaguely relevant...so ive reworked it..see what u think:

FNO: He said, and I disagree, that you couldn't make a living selling yourself. (unchanged from originial).

Annah: She seems taken aback by your comment, and for a moment her manner softens. But then she eyes you suspiciously and sneers: "Yeh ain't gonna be getting on me good side, bubber, so lay off the compliments, jig? They don't getcha anywhere in a place like this, aye?"

FNO (one of the replies, the other is simply "Farewell"): "Thanks for the advice. I had some other questions..."

Er..comments? Its not much atm, and im not sure ive got it quite right yet...still trying to get inside annah's head, and the game'slingo as well..

well TNO gets called a berk quite frequently or you could use 'guvnor' :whistling:

View Post

Shouldnt that be 'govness'?

:whistling:

Reason you don't see the Nameless One drunk is because his motbolic rate is meant to sky high (reason for fast healing/regeneration)

View Post

Really? TNO can't get drunk? I never realised that. How cool :D
No more nasty hangovers :D

Just random thoughs again, I think it might be easier/better to just rewrite entire story with sme base elements than trying to slowly change it :-/

You are not really gonna get any big "experience" out of the story, considering your rewriting it before playing it, anyways. So might as well just try to make this into more of a new story ? That would certainlly make alot of PST fans interested.

I am a tad to tired for coming up with any example storylines atm, but im certain you could think of some yourself.

View Post

Um....that would be far too complicated though I think....as far as i can see atm ashara just wants to change the strings without changing the architecutre of the dialogue...rewriting the story but continuing within the dialogue structure would be difficult.

Dreaded why? Becoz lazy and not actually working on it?   LOL its spawning enough debate to continue to be entertaining even so  Sounds cool

Not lazy, no. I simply work full time and do about 20-30 hours a week in writing and coding on BG1NPC and Kivan of Shilmista. I have no room for PST until I am done with BG1NPC.

LOL...hmm..oh come on...BG1 vs PS:T....T wins hands down

BG1+TUTU+BG1NPC is in my opinion the best CRPG :)

View Post

Um...well that was meant to be vaguely humourous but never mind :P i didnt expect u to take it seriousyl so u better not have done :P ;)

Um...hmmm...PS:T for storyline tho :P

PS.: oh my, this whole pointless argument reminds me on how I laughed at Charlie's Angels and it's whole concept...

LOL....which bit of the argument is pointless tho? The whether this is offensive/unoffensive, the whether her views can be changed argument, or the whether Longinus is being offensive, or the whether the mod should be made? LOL...

:D

Um...also....i think i ought to change what i said slightly...U MIGHT change her views (i dont know her so maybe its possbile :P ) BUT its unlikely, andyou're far more likely to cause offense than anything...so surely it simply isnt worth it... LOL...T.G.M has the right idea :) (mellow :P )

#190518 PST for a female Nameless One

Posted by Child on 27 February 2005 - 01:05 PM in Planescape: Torment

There was an animation of a 'male ghost' in the game, but I did not like it; So it will be just a hooded cloaked figure - a dustman's animation, unless i run into a better one. Not as ghostly as Deonarra, but on the good side much less ugly :).

Child, this is the question I dreaded - for I am working on BG1NPC atm. But if you think you are interested in rewriting say Annah's file for female friendship, and do not mind the possibility that I would never get to it after all, we can chat about it over PM. :)

View Post

You mean the Guardian Ghost of the Mausoleum? I think that would be a better animation than that of a dustman. Since unless you are going to alter the storyline, Dieonarra's character grew up in Clerk's Ward. (thus would be a nobleman/woman not a hiver)

So, how are you going to treat the all important "What can change the nature of a woman?" question? Would the options be different?
I'd say the moon.

(Alright, that was particularly evil. Sorry. :crying: )

View Post

LOL...unfortunately im not doing that..lol......ashara thats urs....but ooohh..i might have to do that juts for comic value.

LOL...ok major se xism coming up just for my own comic value:

What can change the nature of a woman:
Roses
A compliment
The three words
Another bloke
The changing of the wind

LOL..i could go on like this for days...*writes more down in microsoft word*
Don't mind me :D

Hehehe
Apologies. Its a late sunday evening :P
;)

Well, I do not subscribe to Robert Jordan's theory that women and men are alien beings completely unable to understand or relate to each other. When I read Ravel's file, I thought that it required remarkably little changes.

View Post

LOL so u recognise the quotations then :D :P
He's a good writer :D

LOL me neither really....that was from my own experience :P ;)

Um...LOL...the Ravel file i dont think needs changing at all really..the whole "What can change the nature of a man" is more general than anything....so u dont even need to change the wording

I am inded looking for 'looks', not class changes.

View Post

Actually, what r u using TNO for? BEcause it might make more sense to have something slightly more attractive fill FFG's place, at least in on-screen appearance, (obv char portrait u can do nothing about), and then just fade out TNO...

#190785 PST for a female Nameless One

Posted by Child on 01 March 2005 - 05:06 AM in Planescape: Torment

There arent any male clerics in the game (except Trias). i think the problem is rather finding an anim, rather than changing his class...and i think ashara was saying that what she didnt want is some token warriors hair blowing in the wind. The only things that come close to being clericy are sebastian (a brightly coloured mage :S) and trias.......and possibly TDO.....so..um... :S

As Nike say "Just Do It" though I've used that line in many situations

but Hey as I say (the uncut version) do what you bloody well please, and burn the rest :D

sounds interesting, and if you do stick it up somewhere to download for us adoring (or not so adoring) fans (or critics) then I'll ive it a try :thumb:

Well just as soon as i get round to writing anything ill no doubt bore u with it, asking for opinions and stuff :P

This is kinda like not playing Deus Ex coz there is no female JC, or like not playing Gordon Freeman coz ure a woman....kinda silly....but I guess whatever floats ure boat. Um....but isn't it rather a lot of work to go to jsut to play as a woman? The Nameless One is hideously ugly, scarred, has been pretty nasty in the past, and smells, but I didnt ahve massive problems playing him....
Er...

U guys missed out another moderately big problem....
Ravel.
Ud have to make her lesbian or something? Or axe/change some of her dialogue?
