Happy Birthday to you...
You look like a zoo,
and you smell like one too!
That's what I get for having a 4 year old in the house. All my carefully built up maturity is slowly draining away....
Anyway I do hope you have b-day fun!

If you guys don't make it then I'll finally get to tease Littiz about being hoplessly optimistic.

Ok, I've been optimistic, but I couldn't know TGM would disappear from modding for 2 months
Anyway, we're progressing, and I just received a lot of proofreaded stuff (thanx Caedwyr!)
6 more days Littiz and then it's official!
Oh, and don't blame your hopeless optimism on TGM! Just admit it! Take a deep cleansing breath and reapeat after me... "My name is Littiz and I am a hopeless optimist."

But I would have refinements modify the sorcerer kit description as well.

Can you confirm that old posts were deleted. It would be a pity for so much good discussion to be lost.

Plus I want to note that some insteresting AD&D fungi & moss that could be used in Herbalism only grow underground....
The idea solution IMO would be to have a HLA that could only be "charged" underground or outdoors and then used whenever.

In PnP Elves and Half Elves are. 90% for elves & 30% for half if I remember right. It works like a specialized MR for sleep and charm.Another idea for Thief-Mages:
Slippery Mind
In a nutshell, the T/M becomes immune to Charm effects.
I'm willing to bet that a good portion of Thief-Mages are elves or halfelves. These are already resistant to charm at level 1. Maybe you could add immunity to confusion and/or stun.
However this was never in unmodded BG or BGII. There are some tweak packs and mods that add this back in (I think aVENGER had one like this). Not sure how these mods impliment this though.
Worst case this is a redundant HLA. However IMO *Immune* is better than *Resistant*.

I disagree.Combat Casting is not balanced for fighter/mages. They will be too powerful this way.
Could you specify what this uninterruptibility refers to ? The spellcaster would use his spells even if he is hit, poisoned or affected by insect spells ?
It's thematically good & doesn't seem unbalanced at all. I mean really. How often is a high level F/M getting interrupted anyway? Maybe one or two battles at most.
Between Spell Immunity, Protection from Magic Weapons, Stoneskin, Mirror Image and the rest a F/M can be functionally immune any time he cares to.

Still 50 HP or 5 GWW + 5 Critical Strikes ... I would take the latter.
Toughness, pickable once, that gives +1 HP per level on the other hand would be well worth it IMO.
... or what if Toughness increased base AC by 1 each time it was chosen in addition to +5 HP?

Nerco's learn spells. One of them might come up with a way to power spells with blood, but that's pretty far outside of most AD&D spells. Nero's, like other mages, memorize their spells and cast them using external energy.
Sorcerers on the other hand *are* magic. They power their own spells and 'cast' them innately. It only makes sense to me that they could choose to burn themselves to a crisp by drawing upon that source of power too much.

This HLA allows the Sorcerer to cast any spell in his ?spellbook? at a price. Any spell cast via this ability will cause 10 hp of damage to the caster per level of the spell.
In use this HLA will resemble Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, causing a menu to pop-up when the HLA is used.
This ability will allow sorcerers to cast any spell they need to in dire emergencies even if they have already used up all of their castings of a specific level of spells.

Beast Masters should probably get both.

Rangers on the other hand tend to be more flexable & oriented to finess fighting. Sure some of them can tank but loose their stealth to do so. Rangers seem to fight with more skill based weapons like Longswords, Bows, and the like. It just seems more natural that they get IC if they are restricted to one or the other.
The main reason I see to not put toughness on rangers is that this keeps a nice niche open for fighters. Palies get tough, Rangers get skilled, and Fighters get both.
I mention Beastmaster as an exception since they need all the beefing up that they can get.
In any event I can't really see Toughness working well for Archers or Stalkers. Unkitted Rangers are a maybe IMO.
I do think that Kensai should be able to pick toughness though. If anything not wearing armor should give them more oppertunities to toughen up than normal fighters.

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really don't like that idea J.I don''t nessarily like opening up old arguments, but since its been several versions with no change, is there any way of giving GENERIC fighters ambidexetiyy and I Abidexterity as, if they chose to fight that way, should be able to surpass a ranger who must devided his time between fighting, memorizing spells and other ranger duties.

1. Give them d8 for Hit Dice like the old old style PnP ones did.
2. Restrict them to Chainmail or less like a Barbarian.
3. Grant them +1 to AC & THACO for every 5 levels like a Swashbuckler.*
4. Open up the Beastmaster weapons a bit. Give them things like spears and such that are mostly not metal.
* Archers would not get the additional THACO bonus, but would get the AC bonus.

I just very strongly disagree with your opinion on this one.
