Also, I've finally uninstalled Under-represented Items. I really like the items, but then my game begins to shut down every time I try to leave one area and go to another and an encounter occurs. I just begin the encounter and without fail my game always shuts down with a "windows has encountered a problem and needs to close" or some such and do I want a stupid report. I uninstalled/reinstalled everything else and no problems. Does anyone else have Under-rep items and is it working?

I don't think your problem with Underrep Items is caused by Eddie. I have them both installed and they work perfectly together.

Hmmm...thanks, RavenBlack. I guess I'll just live without Under-rep, then. I'm glad to know that Eddie is apparantly not the problem.

Edwin and my CG Heartwarder of Sune PC have hit it off very well, so Divine Remix can be added to the compatible list.

I am currently playing the mod with the Quest Pack installed, minus the "additional shadow thieves content" component, and it's working a charm. I've gotten up to the encounter with the two new NPCs with voices and portraits (to keep things spoilerfree) with no problems whatsoever.

As I suspected, it seems that only the shadow thieves component will cause conflicts with the Edwin mod, and the rest can be enjoyed with no trouble. Which is good, because I like the quest pack.

P.S. this is the funniest mod I've played so far, yet manages to accomplish this without sacrificing characterisation and emotional involvement. Full thumbs up!

Thanks Iguana! I'll add your findings to the sticky post. :)

Can somebody clarify to me why the Shadow Thieves component doesn't work?

I think I can. Perhaps a slight misunderstanding took place here, as well.

1) Edwin romance and all Quest Pack components are technically compatible. Fully tested.

2) Edwin romance script works like this: romance will start then and only then when you kill Maevar with Edwin in your party. So, if the player have installed Shadow Thieves component of D0 Quest Pack and followed this route, she cannot initiate a romance with Edwin. Which is what she has been warned about in Edwin Romance readme.

So, actually, I do not see any incompatibility issues here.

Okay, thanks. Not neccessarily true anyway. You can still kill Mae'Var if you take the alternative route, and assuming Edwin Romance simply uses a Dead() check, everything will work fine.

Either way, I agree that this is not an incompatibility.

I see, then perhaps I should edit the post again. Not having played Quest Packs myself I didn't know exactly what the component did. I'll try to clarify things further.

Hi, everyone! I tried to play Kelsey and Edwin Romance at the same time and thought that I't wouldn't be a problem cause thier dialogs don't cross, but when KeseyRomanceActive Variable becomes 2, Edwin Romance immidiately stops and I can not do anything(console|Shadowkeeper wouldn't work). At Pocket Plane they said that Kelsey doesn't have romance-killing skripts, so the problem should be with Edwin. Any suggestions?

I have the following together with Eddie romance & flirts, and have had no real problems:

*Ascension
*Turnabout
*Quest Pack
*BG2 Tweaks from G3 (sans the Female Edwina component)
*Longer Road
*Unfinished business w/o the additional shadow thieves content
*Banterpack
*NPC flirt packs
*DungeonBeGone
*Kelsey (for some reason, his fights with Anomen took precedence over Edwin's for quite some time, before I made it clear to Kelsey that we were never going to be more than friends)
*Keto (there is a small bug with the Nether Scroll transformation. Keto is also supposed to comment on Edwin's intention to read it, and her comment takes precedence to CHARNAME's... but nothing actually happens. Then I got the same dialogue again, but this time between CHARNAME and Edwin, and this time the transformation did take place. So don't freak out if it doesn't happen the first time.)

Can one of the Edwin Romance authors confirm if a 'Dead() check' is used?

I'm not too familiar with the different routes available in Quest Pack, so would like to know what sort of action (or perhaps inaction) I'll need to carry out in order to play Edwin Romance.

Or perhaps it would be simpler if someone could say something like 'You'll be able to do the Edwin Romance provided you avoid doing X'. At least that way I'll know what to avoid doing if I want to do the Edwin Romance in my current game.

Bursk, I tried to dig out the answer for you. Sadly I am a mere writer, and had the help of people more talented than I when it came to programming. As far as I can tell the answer to your question is 'yes', but that is the best answer I can give you.

Hm, no one has mentioned anything about the Xan Romance for BG2 being compatible with Eddie... I had no problems with them together until I decided to uninstall all of my mods and then only reinstall the latest versions of my favorites. But then I picked the option where you can change Xan's class to fighter/mage and now whenever I try to choose the flirt option with Edwin, I get a random piece of dialogue from the Xan Romance. (He wasn't even in my party at the time!) I hate not being able to flirt with him! :crying:

As of now, Im not sure whether or not the Xan romance was effected, but I will try to change the his class back to Enchanter and see if that works.

As of v2.08 (currently in beta), Edwin Romance is also compatible with Imoen4Ever.

Version 2.0.10 and higher provides the possibility to play Edwin Romance in Multi-Romance mode: Via Cheats, set the variable "EdwinIgnoreRomances" to "1" to enable Multi-Romance mode:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("EdwinIgnoreRomances","GLOBAL",1)

If set, Edwin Romance will ignore all other romances and will also ignored by other romances (as far as the checks are contained within the Edwin Romance Mod). This goes for the original romances as well as considered mod NPC romances. The cheat has to be set before any of the romances turn their status to committed.

Mod romances considered so far are the following. Let us know if there is more:

  • Fade
  • Adrian
  • Ajantis BGII
  • Angelo
  • Aran Whitehand
  • Chloe
  • Gavin BGII
  • Imoen Romance
  • Kelsey
  • Sarah
  • Sirene BGII
  • Tsujatha
  • Valygar (Corthala Romantique)
  • Verr'Sza BGII
  • Weimer's Solaufein
  • Xan BGII

Do I have to install Edwin Romance after those mods for Edwin romance to consider them?

The order of install is of no influence in this case.
