Invalid Assertion in ChVidImage.cpp

I decided it was time to try and leave Athkatla. My first trip out, this triggers a bandit/slaver attack. I leave Athkatla, the game loads up not the area I am heading to, but the area for the attack AR0043.
The attack progresses for a few seconds and then I get a crash to desktop with the message "Invalid Assertion in ChVidImage.cpp at line 1921; BAM is corrupted".
I tried to figure out which BAM was involved with NI, but I couldn't figure it out. Clearly an NI newbie. Other than editing a character, item, spell, store, or creature I don't really know how to do much with NI.
Is there some particular file I can replace here, or should I just give up on the whole thing and reinstall from scratch (I hate to do it, but I guess it may be necessary).
I had figured the install was working okay having got through NEJ with no serious problems (after putting in patch 1.4 which I had forgotten at first).
Well, hoping someone can magically figure out which BAM it is and send me a clean copy,
Dennis

it's none of the weapons added by BP - there's one in underrepresented items that i know does this; there are probably some others too; in any event, it will be a weapon carried by yr party.
the solution is to unequip the buggy weapon.

Thanks for the information.
I used NI to evaluate the equipped weapons on my characters. The problem turned out to be a staff from the unusual oddities shop. The staff was not flagged as two-handed but should have been. I have fixed the staff and am now continuing my journey.
So, thanks very much for the help. I am glad to be able to continue playing.

I have done as you suggested, and also sent a short note to the maintainer (creator?) of the mod suggesting that it be changed if there are any further updates to the mod.
