As the topic title states, I wasn't able to install the mod.

This is what Weidu said:

And this is what my install looks like ( with current latest versions of all mods):

Beyond the Law +
Banter Pack +
Item Upgrade +
Unfinished Business +
Quest Pack +
Big Picture +
Redemption --- +
Refinements --- +
Baldur?s Gate II Tweaks +
Worldmap

I believe I haven't installed anything, which modifies the worldmap. I did get a very similar install working yesterday but then I had to go off tinkering once more.. and it doesn't work anymore. :whistling:

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions as to what could be the problem. Thank you. :)

Try deleting your Worldmap folder and re-extracting your Worldmap.rar archive. It really kind of looks like you've misplaced your worldmap.tra file somehow,,,

I have tried re-downloading (from different sources), re-extracting and re-installing a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Funny, the problem seems to be with the worldmap.tra file, but I can't understand why it'd be flawed. I have found a few new lines in the .debug file, perhaps they'll bring some clarity to the issue at hand:

ERROR: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "worldmap.tra")
PLEASE email the file SETUP-BP-BGT-WORLDMAP.DEBUG to KD & Yacomo & Erebusant & Weigo
Using Language [English]
[English] has 1 top-level TRA files
[BP-BGT_Worldmap/Language/English/worldmap.tra] parsed
[BP-BGT_Worldmap/Language/English/worldmap.tra] has 117 translation strings

I was able to reproduce your error. As follows:

This is caused by trying to install WM6 with no WM6 mods installed in your game. You either have no BGII-SoA/Worldmap folder, or no files exist within it.

A quick fix to be able to install the map. If you have no BGII-SoA/Worldmap folder, create one. If you do, take the attached placeholder files and dump them into the Worldmap folder, then rename them without the .txt extension and you'll be able to install the map.

Wow, I found out that I do have an account in these forums.

I can't start the downloads for some odd reason with neither Firefox nor Internet Explorer (it opens a new blank page, nothing else), but I copied the respective files from my install to the newly created Worldmap folder and that indeed did the trick. The game's working well so far.

Thank you very much!

Just be certain that the files are blank if you have no WM6 mods installed, or you will have a bunch of useless information added into your .wmp file,,,
