Challenge #9: Xan

I just remembered I had actually drawn Xan before this too! I made this pencil doodle for my dear friend SpAE. She actually colored it beautifully, but I couldn't find the colored version! I hope she still has it and posts it here. Ooh, and this drawing still has my "message" for SpAE, too.

@Domi: This is aquarel - water colours, right?
@Ilmatar: the doodle looks very romantic and promising - I'd love to see the colored version.

I'm voting for a colored version too. That drammatic violet is sure memorable.

All elven men are very feminine.
Looks very nice. But he is mine. *grabs Xan* My gloomy enchanter! Hear that! Mine!!
I've created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

Pencil and ps filtering but pretty much amounts to the same thing. I'll give a shot to the more portrait-like one if I have a bit of time.
Would be great. This one reminded me both of Xan and Snape - very mystique. (Xnape... ?)
For all you Xan fans out there, I worked overtime and made this.
It showed. That you worked overtime, I mean. Beautiful, and reminds me of Miyazaki's works somehow.

For all you Xan fans out there, I worked overtime and made this. It's how I picture Xan, personally. A very feminine elven male.
That sure is some good sprite'n right ther. And, yeah, he seems to be a few eyelashes away from being female, heh.
To be honest, I'm not sure I'll be participating in this challenge. Xan just isn't doin' it for me, for some reason . I may take this opportunity to entertain my own ideas for a while. Guess I have some time to think about it, regardless.

ThanksVilk... Awesome, as always XD You really have THE sense of humour
And, 'bout that SNES game.. From which have you taken the pic? I admit being ignorant when it comes to SNES (the only games from this platform I play frequently are old FF's)...
The game is Shin Megami Tensei (the second one, to be precise) - probably the only game where you can have Thor, Indra, Susano-O, Cthulhu and Metatron in the same party. (I told you it was hardcore!)
Argh! I know that style reminds me of something, but I just can't place it. Fire Emblem? (Nice Xan, by the way.)For all you Xan fans out there, I worked overtime and made this. It's how I picture Xan, personally. A very feminine elven male.

Lucky guess.Yep yep, inspired from the Fire Emblem serie.
I have never actually played anything from that series, but I feel like I really should.
[EDIT] Oh, and here's Xan, Phantasy Star style!
(And since he's pretty much invisible like that, here's a 2x size version as well.)

this is the color I did on Ilmatar's pic last year, and now I want to redo it. If only for the 'wheee, arts on Xan!' value. Outfit color perhaps not quite bright enough.
I've been lurking this challenge since it started, but this topic - dear god, this topic is finally getting me in and I'll post an entry as soon as these - horrible assessments are done. [/ramble]
This thread? Is full of AWESOME. Seriously dig the sprites so far. (Also, Yousei? Ha! Brill.)
Am also going to be the odd one out here as I've always pictured Xan to be quite masculine/not-pretty looking, just with a gorgeous outfit and fabulous hair (see also: Xan's nose, Xan's incredible pout, Xan's voice actor (<3)).

vilkacis and IronOx - you two are my HEROES. Your sprites are absolutely gorgeous, and somehow adorable. Very Xan, anyway.

Ilmatar, I particularly like the pencil sketch. And the coloured version is great too, SpAE!
vikacis, that little sprite is just too cute.
Morning Glory, yours is great too. Poor Xan!
They're all wonderful!

They say that a picture is worth thosand words, but I think that, an image can be destroyed with just four: That is a wererat.
Yeah, she only needs a boob job. Just like Ilmatar/SpAE's Xan.A very feminine elven male.

Besides, Xan is more ferret than rat.

Word.
When I was about twelve, I got my first computer, Yamaha MSX-2, and I used to make these little cartoons with sprites - a running man, a pair of lovers walking, and so on. The little sprite reminds me so much of these.
And I'll be only too happy to see more, of course.

Made from scratch in slightly less than half an hour using only the Gimp. Some source files are attached in the zip in xcf format. You might notice my persistent bitterness about an element in the romance, and an hint of extreme laziness
