Help with 2 bugs.

I post this here, assuming its a BGT thing... ill leave my weidu.log anyway, in case its needed.

1- I finished all the nashkel mines quest. The dude in the mines tell me "thanks, and btw, speak to the mayor for your reward". I speak to the mayor, he dissappears, but i sill have the quest flagged as active in my journal. Coul someone tell me the cluaconsole command to flag it as "finished" ?

2- I am in chapter 4, but the other cloakwood forest areas dont appear. I say "other" because i chose to "make the 1st cloakwood area available before chap 4", with BG1 NPC. Is there a nicer way to make them available thats not using the GoToArea ?

Why, ouh why is this here? It(the worldmap mod) should be the last, unless you want to install the GUI last. As you do know that the worldmap links are constructed during the installation, and the other mods(~BG1NPC.TP2~ #0 #28) modify the assumed links that aren't correct anymore... thus you just answered to the 2) No, unless you reinstall, completely.

Hm... kinda sucks. Specially cos i just reinstalled. Last time i installed the worldmap last and the map was completely broken :(

I would wait a while before panicking/reinstalling, though... I donīt think your game is screwed yet.
It might be one Cluaconsole worth of a trouble, so ...

Also... i just noticed i cant see Ulgoth's beard either... wonder if there are more areas that are gonerz :/

You mean you can't see it from here? If so, then you do have a bug there too...

By the way, you also need the patch from here!!!!

Did you collect the notes on Mulahey's chest? It isn't actually finishing the quest that even progresses the game, it's whether the chapter increments after picking up those letters.

Hi!,

I am having the same problem here and I am using BG1 NPC TEST version (Spanish) translated from DLAN.

I am using other mods in spanish translations too.... using BGT v1.05b+Patch.

After exiting from the mines (and got the scrolls from the chest of Mulaheyr - Chapter 4), I've talked to the mayor of Nashkel, Berrun, he gaves me the 900 gp, the exp and the reputation point, but the quest is in an unsolved state.

Using UB for BG1 v6, there is a quest The Mysterious Vial that may affect to this (sorry if I am wrong), for the corrupted Mine Ore and for the Mysterious Vial. From UB I am using only this modification, the rest are not installed and I've seen that Immortality has it installed too.

Could this modification be one that is causing not finishing the quest of Nashkel mines? I talked with Thunderhammer smithy and I have solt to him the Mine Ore and talked about the mines, but when I try to talk to Thalantyr, I have not the response for the Mysterious Vial...

Yes, the EXACT same thing happens to me after i speak to the mayor at Nashkel. I also use the same BG1NPC version you have. I guess I'll forward this to cmorgan just in case.

On the other hand, I also play with the BG1UB, so... maybe thats also part of the problem, yes...

In any case, as I have to reinstall, i guess i wont be installing those 2 components you mention, just in case! ;)

In all, hope the modders can find/solve the problem with Nashkel!! I guess its clear the problem is not created by the worldmap messed installation that i had :D

In any case, and as a quick fix in case this happens after reinstalling: Whats the Cluaconsole code to solve the nashkel mines quest?

And one more thing...

after exiting the mines and talked to Berrun and got the reward... if I go to talk to Emmerson (the Nashkel mines boss), he updates again (in Chapter 4) the Journal congratulating the job... but it does not ends the quest....

Looks like we can blame this on BG1UB The Mysterious Vial. (Doesn't use SOLVED_JOURNAL and also forgets to cleanup with EraseJournalEntry.)

Even with UB having a difficulty on these points, there are a large number of BG1NPC Journal entries that have not been done correctly... or in better words, there is about every version of modder ideas of use/nonuse of JOURNAL, AddJournalEntry() etc etc that has ever existed from 2002 onwards in the project :) . This was never a problem with Tutu, because until the latest version of EasyTutu by Macready, journal behavior was inconsistent and few folks used it.

Obviously, the move to support combined Tutu and BGT installs, coupled with Macready's fine work on EasyTutu, means that this summer I will go through and make all thr journal entries work correctly. If something gives you the quest items and experience, but does not show movement from OLVED to UNSOLVED or simply dumps information in the regualr (non-quest) journal, feel free to check to see if it is BG1NPC or not, to make sure other folks get the info, but if it is BG1NPC then do not worry about reporting yet - it is guaranteed that only a very small minority of the materials use the journal correctly at this point.

P.S. - ClanDLAN folks - put BG1NPC as tightly to BGT as possible, please - you *will* have errors if it goes after things like BG2 Tweaks and SCS/SCSII and such. I would suggest putting it before UB, or putting it after UB and *not* installing the following components of UB, as we have alternatives for them:

Yep, journal entries are problematic when mods change them, since getting rid of them requires a specific string reference to get removed, and mods tend to add new ones rather than reuse the older ones.

Could this modification be one that is causing not finishing the quest of Nashkel mines? I talked with Thunderhammer smithy and I have solt to him the Mine Ore and talked about the mines, but when I try to talk to Thalantyr, I have not the response for the Mysterious Vial...

The Thalantyr problem happens if you have spoken to Thalantyr before you go to the Nashkell Mines.
To solve this quest CLUA him in your game and talk with him. You get the dialog-option you needed.

Thanks for this. I've respawned to Thalantyr and tried to speak with him, but the same happens... no responses from Thalantyr about Mysterious vial.

Well... again, Could Thalantyr Item Upgrade mod v2 conflicting with UB - Mysterious Vial v6 with Thalantyr? Although I think that this is off-topic on this Thread....
