As the title says... stats IRL... what are yours? Mine are:

STR: 18/92
DEX: 19
CON: 14 (I'm a smoker)
INT: 24
WIS: 19
CHA: 22 :D

What's really cool is that my innate casting time and speed factors are both zero. I also have 50% magic resistance.

Such exceptional stats have allowed me to become a multi-classed human Kensai/Cleric/Thief/Mage.

I don't have a big head about it though, because there's always someone better than yourself.

Hi I'm Cyric and I'm a cheater. It all started years ago with Wolferstein 3-D and 'ILM'... :drunk:
I am the whispers in your head
Letting you know you're the next one dead
I am the blade that cuts your skin
That forgives yourself for all your sin
I am the guilt that gnaws your soul
Corrodes the heart to a gaping hole
The hammers pounding all around
So you beat the walls to rid the sound
I am your memories, distorted and loud
That make you scream and shreik aloud
Yes, I make you crazy, it's all my fault
That we're here alone in this cushoined vault

Assuming 10 to be average:

Str - 11

Dex - 9 (if just typing it would probably be higher)

Cons - 7 (ex-smoker still getting rid of a little asthma, knee problems)

Int - 12

Wis - 14

Cha - Usually around a 12, lately around a 9/10

Okay - most of you are definately overpowered in one way or another. Unless we're a community of demigods here there's just some err.... wrong stats. Of course, if you are all being sarcacstic, don't mind me :P

A rough approximation to mine would be something like:

Strength: 5 (can carry 10 lbs for a long time without getting slower, can lift 25 lbs, 0% to bend metal bars or force doors)
Dexteritry: 16 (14 without caffeine :P - this is an exceptionally high stat BTW)
Constitution: probably between 4 and 7
Intelligence: 15 (again, exceptionally high. With this intelligence you MUST be able to speak at least four languages (this is written in the rulebooks). I do.)
Wisdom: probably around 12
Charisma: probably 1 or 2 (nobody would willingly follow me or if s/he did wouldn't be very loyal)

Well, I have to admit that I don't know how they would quantify an exceptionally high wisdom. The other qualities, I suppose can be measured easily enough. It's really hard to be completely objective, of course, but I figured my stat with age, travel experiences, & too much stuff learned the hard way (dagnabit) thrown in.

I figure I fall way below the Zen master, more like just around the scary old coot with a hidden heart of gold who yells at kids to "Get off my lawn!" but ends up teaching them valuable life lessons about judging others during their last summers before high school.

The only glitch in this assessment is that I don't actually have a lawn, and don't actually know any young teenagers.

Wouldn't necessarily stop me from yelling at ppl randomly, but that's what keeps me from being a 17 wis, right?

Actualy does it not say you are given four languages to speak, because this would be a poor choice in criteria, as not all intelligent people are given the oportunity nor theinclination to speak four languages?
EDIT: Does anyoen remember that site that has a littel quiz to find your RL D&D stats?

Even that is exaggerated. Stephen Hawking probably has an intelligence of around 18 or 19. A charisma of 22 gives the character a personal cult status (as written in the books) and everyone will be stunned and immediately follow and like/love that person - to the extent to sacrifice the own life for her/him. Dexteritry of 19 is probably someone who could build a tower with pencils (placing them onto each other (sharpened)) reaching a height of maybe three pencils. The same person would probably be able to catch birds with bare hands (while flying by) :P

Going through the thread we come across a few interesting personalities:

First of all there's psiclops who can lift amazing 172 kilograms (380 lbs), and walk around the whole day (in normal walking speed) with 106 kilograms laden into his backpack (235 lbs). Unlike most humans, he can bend 35% of all solid iron/steel bars (prison-like style) with his bare hands. While this is indeed astonishing, his dexteritry is of such great extents, that he can build a tower with pencils (placing them onto each other (sharpened)) reaching a height of probably three pencils (hehe.). Even though a smoker, the consitution is still good enough to survive a physical shock in 88% of the cases (imagine being hit by a thunderbolt or something - NO problem four psiclops). He can speak 15 languages fluently and is probably intelligent enough to find the question to our beloved answer "42". He basically knows everything there is to know on earth, and can't be magically charmed, hypnotized or influenced. With his charming appearance he has developed a personal cult status and everyone will immediately follow and love him, to an extent of sacrifice the own life for him.

Next we have Lady LeFay, still moderately strong (can carry ~20 kilograms for long distances). She is pretty enduring, and will survive a physical shock with a 85% chance. The most interesting thing about her, is her high intelligence, which allows her to speak no less than six different languages (!) more or less fluently. Also worth mentioning is her high wisdom - she knows most things you'll likely come across in your life at her (this is just a guess) probably still young age. She's also pretty good looking, and charms others with the way she acts. There's always at least five people who'd love to hang around with her and follow her practically everywhere :)

Then we have two cheaters :P

The more serious people go on with Plasmocat. Having a moderate strength (see Lady LeFay) he has a pretty much common dexteritry. He doesn't have any problems making nice paper foldings or writing, as well as doing pretty much any everyday job you can come uspellholdstudios.netspellholdstudios.netp with. He has a pretty quick reaction. He can speak three languages (at least two of them fluently) and (throughout his life) has gathered a large amount of common wisdom. He's also a very charming person to hang around with (going with the 9/10),and will surely find around four people willing to help him out with anything.

Next and last one (besides me) is icelandismine. He's a pretty stong fellow. He can stem 77 kilograms (that's pretty good!), and can carry up to 25 kilograms around pretty much the whole day without slowing down his traveling. His dexterity is pretty much average - he probably doesnt have the fastest reaction, but not unusually slow either. His constitution is pretty good, he will survive a physical shock in around 85 out of 100 cases. He's pretty smart too, can talk three languages (at least two of them fluently) . He has a slightly limited common knowledge (not really noticeable though if you don't really know him closely) and is generally a nice person to hang around with - without any problems, he will find up to four people helping him out and following his lead.

-edit: more people while I posted! :)

Devilish Pope - He's a pretty stong fellow as well (see icelandismine), he has a good dexteritry. His constitution is extraordinarily well, in a way that he can endure severer wounds than any common man could, and he will survive a physical shock situation with a 90% chance. His extraordinarily high intelligence allows him to fluently speak four languages, and come up with cunning plans and ideas. He generally knows what's going on in the world, is an informed person. He's not the most charismatic person, but he'll manage to find around three people to travel with him, although he should better treat them well, or they might get the idea to betray him. However, when people meet him for the first time, they normally react neutral to the encounter.

~~~
Actualy does it not say you are given four languages to speak, because this would be a poor choice in criteria, as not all intelligent people are given the oportunity nor theinclination to speak four languages?
When you create a D&D character you normally have that number of languages to choose. So it kinda applies. Of course it's not the main criteria, but helpful to give a pointer. True intelligence is a very difficult word to explain or to grasp it's meaning. We always have to "blend out" certain aspects to judge it. As for the AD&D intelligence system, you can pretty much say: stick a "0" to the end and you have an IQ estimate. It's not precise but more or less fits the tables.
I guess you can see for yourself who has exaggerated stats, and who has (more or less) realistic ones. Props go to the AD&D rulebooks for specifying all those nice values. ^_^
With my (compared to your 25) limited wisdom of around 12 I can assure you, that cheating generally works in games a lot better than in real life.
