- Doppler's Armory -

Author: Ryu Doppler
Version: v1.0

TESnexus.com Download Location HERE

- DESCRIPTION -
This mod is created as an outlet for the various armors, weapons, items, or ect that I create or come up with from time to time. It's purpose is to provide a shop from which any such items may be purchased by the player. Either for themselves, or possibly for use by companions. This shops location is on the Northern section of the yellow road, near the T junction insection of the Yellow Road and the Red Ring Road (AKA NorthWest up the road from Cropsford). Picture of the shop for reference.

At the current time, two armor sets and 2 extension pieces are available. A Dram Armor set (inspired by Dram Baro from Redguard), an Elven Armor Set, and a Leather Doublet + Leather huntsman pants extention for the default Leather set.

The Dram Armor set currently has only 2 color schemes. A red and black style, and a Dram Baro color style (Orange Gloves/Boots, and Green Cuirass with black/grey underclothing).

The Elven Armor set has 4 color styles. Hadrian Condiment style, Alternate Golden Elven, Woodland Leather, and Reinforced Leather Style. In addition to these styles there are several variations for the Elven armors which have different accessories added onto them.

- For the Elven Armor -
The normal armor has none.
The A Variant has a Cape added
The B Variant has a Belt/Packs/Flask added
The C Variant has a Cape and Belt/Packs/Flask added
The D Variant has a small Neckwrap added (adjusted one from the Dram Armor)
The E Variant has a small Neckwrap and Belt/Packs/Flask added.

The Leather Doublet has only 1 color scheme (default leather) and also follows this scheme as well. It comes with leather huntsman pants as well.

Extra additions pertaining to these accessories may be added in the future. Such as new belt/item additions, different colors of cape/cloths or versions of such or ect. I'll have to work out the details with them later (as well as actually make them if I decide to).

1 Weapon style available as of now. A concept Elven style blade in Gold color scheme. Comes in normal sword, Firesword, and Frostsword variants (with added flame effects for both). Also comes in Offhand styles as well.

The lanterns I made awhile ago are now available as of v1.0 release. It comes in 2 sizes: Tall and Short. Currently the distinction between the two is merely aesthetic (just for looks). This may change in the future however.

- Installation -
To Install, copy and paste the extracted files (the DopplersArmory.esp and DopplersArmory.bsa) into your 'Oblivion\Data' directory.

FOR PREVIOUS USERS:
The installation process for the mod has been streamlined. However, users who downloaded the older Beta version of the mod will still have the entries in the main subfolders. When upgrading from a previous version, just remove these subfolders branching from the 'Oblivion\Data' directory and things should be good to go.

'Meshes\Armor\RD'

'Meshes\RD'

'Textures\RD'

'Textures\Menus\Icons\RD'

- Uninstallation -
To Uninstall, remove the DopplersArmory.esp and DopplersArmory.bsa from the 'Oblivion\Data' Directory.

- Permissions and Usage -
My simple request for any modding usage stemming from this mod's contents is simply the credit for the work I did. Just a single line of recognition in the credits is all. Although thats all I ask here (at current) I would definitely be much more appreciative if one would respectfully contact me beforehand to ask about using anything from it first though. It would also be much appreciated if one were to link back to this mod as well in credits if they would.

Not exactly a main update, but I guess it does slightly pertain to the Armory.

I recently released a sort of Elven Longsword replacer, in Three flavors. People can find the file HERE at TESsource.net

Smaller Leaf Elven Blade
Even Smaller Leaf Elven Blade
Elven Blade No Leaf

I'm still, STILL working on the Lich stuff ( this has to be the 7th or so time I've tried to redo it! ), but I do have a plan for it now. I think I'll just take it slow and do it piece by piece. The Pauldrons are the most tricky part of the whole thing. They never seem to look good, no matter what I try. But no worries, I'll get it eventually.

I might just end up doing more re-textures first, and then move more into other things.

Just letting those few who still frequent this WIP, that the Armory is still being worked on. It's still a 'when it's done or eventually thing' though, so their isn't any definite for completion and such. I'm actually going to be focusing on some alternative armors, mostly re-textures, for new additions before I decide to tackle on the rigging stuff.

An idea I'm toying with. it's still very simple at the moment, but with a few tricks I'm sure I could get some better textures onto it.

I'm also going to be doing some ideas for Quilted Armor, Breastplates, Brigandines, and even a Leather Doublet. ;) Plus along with a few mix and match armor sets too.

Very nice, I always like mix-and-match armor types :)

Mixing and Matching is always fun! Although I do eventually need to get off my ass and learn how to really model so I can actually make really unique stuff! :D But for now I think the slight re-texture business is a good starting point, with a few model tweaks thrown in for good measure.

I'll just have to see where it takes me. I know there are a few items I would really love to see fixed up when it comes to modeling. Mainly some of the things From the statues that are in Cyrodiil's cities. Leyawiin's statue is one that comes to mind. I really love the outfit the Elf is wearing, and it actually inspired me to make such a outfit for my own character. And some of the hairstyles! I'm surprised no one has tried to convert them onto normal characters Yet! I would figure the two biggest hurdles against doing such would be morphing the hair right and fixing the UVmap up, but I'm sure a few people could easily do it. I tried it once but came up with funky results.

I'll get around to doing things eventually...and when I'm interested.

I'm definitely adding the Dram armor I did recently to the armory.

Dram Concept art just for reference

I've already fixed up a few kinks that were in the armor. Clipping with the gloves, and clipping with the chest and pants naming a few. Now all thats left is to create a new Neck Cloth (meshes and textures) to replace the placeholder. I don't exactly remember where the cloth mesh is from, but I do know that I'm not supposed to use it for the final product. Something to do with Silgrad tower or Bethesda's Morrowind. Good thing I know a bit of modelling now, so it shouldn't be too hard to make a suitable replacement.

I'm thinking I'll also do some recolors too. Give the player a choice of mix and matching color schemes.
