I went to see Gaelan with the money after speaking to the two from Alternatives and got "no valid replies or links" instead of dialogue options. Is this is a mod conflict or something else? My initial thought was that Alternatives is conflicting with Saerileth since they both offer new ways to get to Spellhold. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I have BG2 fixpack, Edwin romance, unfinished business, dungeon-be-gone, alternatives, item upgrade, IEP banters, romantic encounters, ascension, tales of the deep garden, Xan, Kelsey, Keto, Fade, Saerileth, Beyond the Law, crossmod, NPC flirts, divine remix and G3 tweak pack installed.

It'd be great if you could upload your WeiDU.log :) And maybe do a changelog (point #6) of GAELAN.DLG too :P

Oh, and if it's present, attach the GAELAN.DLG from your BGII-SoA\override folder. (and maybe the many GAELAN.DLG's you get after doing thechangelog too :P)

Might want to report this in the Alternatives forum if you suspect that mod.

Unfortunately, I can't use compiled files to troubleshoot this problem.

I don't use Saerileth myself, so I might have to install it myself to see if that's the problem. If Saerileth invalidates states in Gaelan's dilogue file, that might indeed be the problem.

I'll investigate and get back to you.

Other possibilities might include Beyond the Law, since I *know* that causes issues with anything that alters Gaelan's dialogue file.

OK, your problem is definitely caused by Alternatives. Some dumb modder left out a GT in a variable check.

You can install this hotfix to correct the problem. It has been tested and should enable you to proceed with no other obstacles.

Download Windows Hotfix
