1. What do you need? Item, animation, description...?

Item icons for inventory slots and for equipping (equipped on the paperdoll) on the inventory screen (I can use existing ground icons, if needed).

2. Describe the item/whatever in detail! Shape, style, colors...?

All of fine Elven craftsmanship.

Armor: Finely-crafted Elven leather armor, in deep greens and earth tones, made to resemble the leaves covering a forest floor.

Pendant: Light, airy, intricate pendant of a unicorn's head, facing left. Silver chain or leather cord.

Scimitar: Please see image below.

warcraftiiiranger2.jpg

Battleaxe: Heavy-looking, single head. Blade has wicked barbs and jagged edges.

3. Does it have bonus factors? (+1 thac0 - +5 thac0)

The armor and weapons are +2 items, with added magical effects. No special visual effects.

4. What about elemental damage? (Acid, Fire, Ice...)

None.

5. What material is the item made of?

Armor and pendant: as above. Maybe silver setting for the pendant. Scimitar: some form of polished steel blade. Would be nice to have a simplified version of the sword, but clean (no blood, scratches, etc.). Axe: some sort of steel head, wooden haft.

6. Any deadlines?

Whenever is convenient for you.

7. What game and what mod is this for?

BGII - SoA/ToB, for
Erysseril Gwaethoron: a joinable Elven ranger NPC

8. Anything else you'd like to mention?

Please contact me on here, or at thustar at yahoo dot com.

- Erysseril Gwaethorien: a joinable, romanceable NPC mod for BGII - SoA/ToB, in sporadic development.

A female elf warrior of nature and a Bhaalspawn cross paths during their quests, joining forces to share adventure and companionship. Will they find more?

Just checking if anyone has the time and the inclination for this...

Thanks,
Eric

Artists seem to be in short supply here lately. You might have better luck trolling on some of the art sites not specific to IE, such as deviantart, maybe other folks know of others. Same goes for your portrait request.

It will be worth noting that your art need only be roughly 50x50 pixels (for the large icon frame) and 256 colours. The small frame can be resized from that rather easily, and the BAMs are very easy to build once the art is done. You might want to provide some screen shots of similar icons so folks know what to emulate.

If I'm not mistaken, you'll also need description icons for most of those items, as I doubt there are fitting ones in the game. Those should be monochrome (brown and tan) pencil sketches, maximum size of 256x256 pixels. Again, some samples might help there.

(Also, whoever is moderating this forum might want to mention all that in the request specs somewhere. It is far more useful for a prospective artist to get samples of what the finished art should look like, rather than knowing whether something causes elemental damage, etc.)

That's for the advice, I will think of something better to include instead of elemental damage. Eric P. Don't worry there are people around who can help, a lot of people are just busy with their own projects. Miloch does offer excellent advice. I can also offer some advice as well, break this up into a couple of topics so it doesn't seem so overwhelming, you might get a better response.

My thanks to both of you. I wouldn't be asking for these things if I didn't intend for the mod to be released when ready. If I break up this request into three different ones (one for pendant, one for armor, and one for the pair of weapons), then I suppose this thread should be removed, to avoid duplication. That would be fine.

Last night, I scoured deviantart.com and inquired of one artist (don't know how to make a general request on that site), and today I'll look around at elfwood.com to see if any artists do the kind of work I'm after. Looking for art that is smooth and fine.

Happy modding,
Eric
