I've intercepted the Red Mage Caravan in the CloudPeaks Mountains, and found the black lotus. But What then ? I thought I would find Elminster in the seven dales inn. But there's nobody. Did I miss something ?

Your journal might help you with the Black Lotus, and with the main quest; you're app. halfway. So no Elminster yet.

Happy gaming

Also, you were given two major pieces of information about the Black Lotus caravan and its crew at the end of the Cerendor Hold section; you can act on the second one as soon as you like.

Actually I'm at this portion of the questline and I can't figure out what you mean. The two pieces of information are:

the location of the caravan

and

(???)

I talked to Edwin (since the dude was supposedly an Odesseiron) but he didn't have anything interesting to say. Now I'm at a loss, with a chest of Black Lotus in my pack and no idea of where to go.

Does your journal contain all the information from Ailoth Tam? There should be some more clues in there (I hope! :D).

I'm having that same issue I have the black Lotus but I have no idea what to do now. I don't even know who Ailoth Tam is or where to find him.

Spoiler

Carrying the Black Lotus around serves no purpose - no-one will buy it from you as it has no value. I'll make that clear when I release the next update.

I think I might just revive this dead topic. This mod is really quite good but the journal entries need quite a lot of work. It would work really well if Ailoth Tam spawned next to the guy running the keep and you have to talk with him before you get the world map trigger. Something along the lines of "We found this coward lurking in the bathroom. You should have a word with him." and then you interrogate the guy and the keep master says something like "I know that trade route. Most likely they are stuck here. The terrain is very tough and it is only a few hours walk from here."

That way you don't have to search the entire 2nd floor for the bathroom (which isn't all that blue). Also I found the guy after I sacked the caravan. So I didn't really get the whole caravan thing either. A much easier way of doing things is something like "You... how did you find us?" <blah blah blah> "There is no way you could have gotten that information without his death. To arms men!" and then the battle begins. Multiple paths through the mod is proving difficult. Also, I know nothing of what to do with the black lotus.

Anyway, just my 2c. Again, this is great. There are no crashes which I am in awe of. As a point of reference (since this came up with the lighthouse too), being direct is much better than being indirect. There is a fine line between saying something like "Maybe I should check this out..." in the journal, telling people, and just being so vague as to be frustrating. For example, not giving me the key leaves me wondering what the hell I need to do to unlock the lighthouse at which point I would just leave the mod since I have no idea what to do and I would not think to go back and talk with the guy I JUST SPOKE with. Same with this. Why would I ever try to find a random spawn in a bathroom when there is no mention of him at all? Good luck and thanks. This mod is very stable, but there are a lot of kinks to work out.

I think you have a good point regarding Ailoth Tam; he wasn't meant to be mentioned until the main fight was over. He doesn't spawn until that conversation with the Caravan master. It will be a bit of a sod to implement because of the major changes required to the Caravan Master's dialog. Once that's done, it then has to be translated into Russian and German as well... having said that, I will think about it because I have enough complaints  suggestions to build one more release. Included in that list is more direct information  :D that you have burned the Black Lotus.

What I don't understand is how you managed to get the Cloudpeaks caravan area to appear on the map before you spoke to Ailoth Tam. The code trigger to RevealAreaOnMap("ys0370") requires you to have completed the conversation with him. What did you do?

Regarding the lighthouse keeper: it seemed logical to me that on finding the lighthouse door was locked, you'd go back and talk to the guy that was responsible for the place.

[Edit] On re-reading the Caravan Master's dialog and following the triggers, it doesn't look quite as difficult as I first thought to change it to have Ailoth Tam spawn next to him. I like that idea.

There is a bug. I mentioned this in my other thread, if you may recall:

(Item #5)

Ailoth Tam may just not appear at all.

Also, considering that there are at least four people (including myself) who are completely stumped by what to do with/after the Lotus, I believe you really need to improve the journal entries and information given to the players.

So I must be dumb or something. Got this mod, I like the sound of it but what am I supposed to do?  Some guy gave me a letter to give to E, wandered round the new government district talked to everyone i could and then what....? I mean its cool, the beholder thing cracked me up, the story of dragons end was funny too, but I'm getting kind of frustrated.

Hello,I'am playing and enjoying big time FFT (in BWS).It is really one of the mods i like the most. I stuck and got lost many times but find solution here.

But i now i 'm clueless... I finish caravan ,i think black lotus burned after i click fires, cause i saw nothing in my inventory..and then????

I stuck to same place with the original poster of this topic, but since I normally talk with Ailoth Tam I cannot understand what to do next.

I cannot find new clues in my journal except the reference to Homen Odesseiron but i cannot see anything in my world map close to Calimshan desert..So where I go next?

thanx in advance :)

To finish the Black Lotus quest you now need to go to the Docks.

Have you done all of the quests in Government District Westside?

Oh thanks for the super fast reply :) No I think not all,i finish the ring quest though, but cannot find anything else in silverale.. Just now while waiting for your reply here I found by accident XD a house that send me back to Portpentyrch caves for the orb.I am sure I have talk again to those two inside but they send me away, too early perhaps?

Anyway I am heading for ports now... ermmm.. any more clues as to where/whom in docks  :P ?I read the reference to a renegade Harper but this after i got by accident to the house in Westside G.district and found him, i remember now that I talked about this with somebody before, but it was not in my journal.. I am really confuse cause in BWS are like gazillions of mods and quest NPC so I can not remember everything, not that i complain :)

Thanks again, million of thanks for this amazing mod,you have done awesome work AND with the maps and that is something i enjoy a lot :)

EDIT: I finish the nameboard quest(i think..didn't find solution though, just talk to culprit and back to innkeeper) and don't know about beholders,if i should kill or not.I tried different approaches and either way Bran wont talk to me afterwards.

You've been told that Meredudd Bengoch is in the Docks... go south until you almost go splash. Otherwise, yes, you're on your way again heading back to Porthpentyrch.

The nameboard quest isn't supposed to have a satisfactory ending, so you haven't done anything wrong there. Not sure why Bran won't talk to you though: he should either deny everything or alternatively, throw a complete fit depending on what you did. Unfortunately, as you're running a BWS setup, it would be difficult for me to find out what went wrong.

Oh OK! Thanks!! I got the orb and i'm about to give it to Government District Westside..

...BUT from the other hand, I checked again the docs and no Meredudd Bengoch.

I tried waaay south near the sea and around, then looked at  the streets, stairs etc with no success so far. I guess that affects the plot-line so maybe i should clua-console him or he might appear at a later time?

You should know that i am still in second chapter,as i've read here how to cluaconsole the vamp-child so I don't have to wait till my return from spellhold... I try to complete as many mods as possible before that and anyway my party is at very good level cause of the many mods :) so I don't mind go forward

BTW.I tried again Bran's quest and this time he spoke to me after i got down the stairs,as u told he denied everything in one case and told me who the beholder was in case of killing. After this he has nothing to say either way..Do I need to do anything else?I mean still I don't know what is best to do or if my decision regarding the beholders will affect anything else later.

thanks once again for your time :)

The mod that is only affected by Spellhold if you try to start it after you have been to Spellhold. Otherwise it will play out normally.

Bran's quest is done - it was just a bit of fedex fun on my part.

For Bengoch: check a saved game for

ys_TalkedToAiloth,1.

If that's set then Bengoch should appear when you reach the docks. Doublecheck by looking for

ys_SeeBengoch,1

If that is set then the game tried to make him appear - it's the check variable to ensure the create action only happens once. If he doesn't appear, then my guess is that BWS has upset the mod somehow because he's never failed to appear previously. I don't run BWS so I've never tested FFT with it. The only problem with CLUAConsole is that you won't get his party unless you also do the following:

CreateCreature("ysatbow") x 5 at a short distance from Bengoch

CreateCreature("ysatgrd") x 4 close to Bengoch
