Just thought I'd mention it since it's been driving me batty: The Robe of Vecna change of animation tweak breaks the animations when wielding two-handers. When attacking from a nearly vertical position relative to the enemy, the character disappears for a few frames. The animation for W4(?) seems to be missing a few frames.

I figured out how to restore the original version and the animation works again, but a warning might be appropriate for the RoV component.

Interesting, but I dont' think aTweaks is directly responsible for this behavior as it merely makes the Robe of Vecna display a hooded robe animation which is already used by the Robe of Good/Evil/Neutral Archmagi. For reference, aTweaks doesn't alter the animation itself in any way.

Could you test whether the bug occurs while wearing one of the aforementioned robes as well?

And I am quite sure that if our AnonymousHero has any other mods, the WeiDU.log would be appreciated...

I found the original topic here:

http://forums.gibber...amp;mode=linear

I don't fully understand the technical talk, but I fiddled around with restoring the wa2robe.itm from the aTweaks WeiDU backup directory. Since restoring the wa2robe.itm from the aTweaks backup I got the impression that it was an aTweaks problem, but I see that it might really be a G3 Fixpack problem which just manifests in aTweaks since RoV doesn't normally use the Hooded Robe animation.

Strangely, though, the bug doesn't seem to happen with the Robe of the X Archmagi (I'm still running with the restored-from-backup wa2robe.itm, but that shouldn't affect this, right?)

Here's the WeiDU log in case it matters:

Agreed, from what I can see in the G3 thread, the problem seems to be present even in the unmodded game.

However, you might still want to ask Erephine to take a look at it and see if she can help. It would take a very skilled pixel artist to correct this, so your best bet would be to crosspost this at the 1PP forums.

Thanks for your time and your mod :).

You're welcome.

Like like to post that With G3 BG2 Fix-pack and BGT installed if you start a new game it only includes the BG2 map and when you try to exit an area it gives you the option of going to the section with the circus when selected it crashes, I do not I do not know if this fault of my own or not all I did was install both patches into my directory, I'm thinking it's the fault of G3 BG2 fix-pack but it says it's compatible with BGT on the website so I do not know which and just reporting there is an error when mixing these three. :wall: I am wondering if you have any advice on how to fix this problem or if it is because installed something wrong because this could be just a local issue. Also, I have a saved game that does work with these packs installed, this issue is only when I start a new game, either the way installed it or something else changed the world map for the BG1 part of BGT to only having the BG2 city as options to travel the travel map acts though you are in BG2.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here or how it could be related to aTweaks.

Post the contents of your WeiDU.log please.

What I'm saying is I started a new game on BGT with only BG2 G3 fix-pack and aTweaks and it takes place in the bg1 game world but the Travel map is set to the BG2 Travel map.

You installed BGT before the BG2 Fixpack which causes the issue that you're experiencing. It should be the other way around.

aTweaks itself doesn't alter the Worldmap in any way.

Scribing scrolls

This component grants all Mages (except Sorcerers) of 9th level and higher the ability to scribe spells from their spellbooks onto scrolls, as per PnP rules. Only spells that are currently memorized may be scribed in this manner. Furthermore, the cost of any raw materials that are used in the process must be covered in full. Finally, inscribing a scroll removes one instance of the spell in question from the caster's memory. This ability can be used at will, as long as the environment is non-hostile.

I read this like this: a mage can scribe scrolls at magelevel 9. Imoen OTOH gets to scribe scrolls when dualling from Swashbuckler. That is at magelevel 1. Intended?

Cheers

Not really, but it's impossible to properly work around that. Due to scripting limitations, dual and multi-classed Mage characters will get the Scribe Scrolls ability when they reach level 9 in either one of their classes (i.e. no matter if it's the Mage class or something else). So, a dual-classed Swashbuckler 9 -> Mage 1 will get Scribe Scrolls, although that shouldn't occur until he reaches Mage level 9.

Consider this a known but unsolvable issue. I'll leave it up to the players whether they want to exploit it or not. ;)

Mage kits do not use proper CLAB files in the unmodded game.

For some of them, the respective files can be created from scratch and assigned manually, but even so, it wouldn't work in all cases (i.e. Wild Mage).

Don't Wild Mages share CLABMA01 with unkitted mages and wouldn't that be enough for your purposes?

In case anyone's curious, I just had a quick look at this. You can give the Scribe Scrolls ability via the CLAB files, but apparently Sorcerers use the same file as generalist mages and it doesn't appear to be possible to separate the two. Consequently you can not not give the Scribe Scrolls ability to Sorcerers via this method.

In case anyone's curious, I just had a quick look at this. You can give the Scribe Scrolls ability via the CLAB files, but apparently Sorcerers use the same file as generalist mages and it doesn't appear to be possible to separate the two.

So, the problem is that Sorcerers would get this ability when they shouldn't? In that case, maybe you could ditch the GA_ spell in the CLAB and stick in an AP_ spell that uses IDS targeting and opcode 171 to grant the original spell.

That's an idea. I'll try it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I recently tried to install aTweaks and received this message when installing the Fiends component:

"ERROR Installing [PnP Fiends], rolling back to previous state
Will uninstall 172 files for [ATWEAKS/SETUP-ATWEAKS.TP2] component 150.
Uninstalled 172 files for [ATWEAKS/SETUP-ATWEAKS.TP2] component 150.
ERROR: Invalid_argument(?String.sub?)"

It asked me to email the error to Wisp, but his email is private, so I hope posting here is ok.

I've attached my debug and weidu files. The first time I received this message, I uninstalled aTweaks, re-downloaded the mod, and installed it again from the new download, but I had this problem again. Hopefully I haven't missed something obvious.

I had the fiends component the last time I had BG2 on my computer without problems and it's really fun, so I hope you can help.

Your problems are likely due to an unfortunate bug in WeiDU 221. aTweaks ships with WeiDU 220 and if you use that version you should be okay. However, WeiDU performs an automatic update to the latest version when there are different versions present. To downgrade you accordingly need to make sure version 220 is the most recent version in your installation directory. There are, of course, a number of ways to do this, but you can do it by renaming aTweaks' v220 setup file manually and replacing the other setup files with it, or by placing aTweak's v220 setup file in your installation directory, opening a command prompt, navigating to your installation directory and using something like this (assuming you are on Windows):
FOR %f IN (setup-*.exe) DO COPY setup-atweaks.exe %f
