First off I love seeing Yeslick back in the group and so far I really like his "fatherly" conversations with the main character. :)

One problem I'm having though is I can't rest with Yeslick in the group! I warped to Trademeet to get him sooner than I could otherwise, so he was in the part during the first resting dream. When I woke up, only the main character was up, the others were on the floor of the Copper Coronet for another min or so, with the sleep icon on their pictures. Ever since then, if I try to rest in an inn, I get to the "are you sure you want to rest" question, I hit rest, and it takes me right back to the main screen, no messages and no rest. If I remove Yeslick, he hits me with the do you want me to rejoin dialogue, if I say no he stays right there and we can rest. If I try to rest outside the rest button simply does nothing with him in the party. Maybe had I waited to get him normally this wouldn't have happened but I figured I'd let you know in case it is a bug.

I've also noticed he lags behind when travelling with the group and sometimes doesn't go right where I click him to. Makes it a pain in combat since he doesn't always go and attack where I want him to, but I like having him along enough I'm sticking it out. If it sheds light on anything, if I Ctrl-J the group, with all party members selected, everyone but him jumps, then I have to select and Ctrl-J him alone?

I never encountered that bug during testing, and I can't imagine what in the mod would actually cause that problem; Yeslick doesn't even have a dream file.

It sounds a little bit like there's a stutter bug; does he look like he's trying to initiate dialogue with the PC all the time, but nothing comes up?

A few questions:
How many talks have you had?
Where are you in the game, and what quests have you done?
Can you open the CLUA Console for me and type: GetGlobal("LK#YeslickFriendTalks","GLOBAL") and post the result?

Hopefully that should help narrow it down.

Maybe its just me, but Yeslick doesn't have any weapon proficiencies!

Sorry I started a new game and didn't go back to check on Yeslick; however I started a new game and picked up Yeslick without "jumping" to Trademeet right away and all is well, no problem resting and he moves with the party fine now, so I don't think it was anything with the mod, just my game. But I will echo Sadsa's comment that he has no weapon prof, both times I've used him I used SK to add them.

+1 no proficiencies.

There's a typo with an interjection when you accept the Umar Hills quest from the boy in the government district (Delon?) with an unclosed CHARNAME! bracket.

Thanks for the mod, Yeslick fills a big need I had in the game for a warrior that I actually like who isn't Korgan.

Here's another issue I've come across: Yeslick doesn't appear to be detected by Level 1 NPCs. It's therefore not possible to tinker with his stats. It also means that he won't level up upon joining the party. Not sure what this is due to.

You'll have to speak to them about that, I'm afraid. :) He might not have been added to the mod yet.

Well, he's listed on the mod page as part of the mod NPCs that are included, which is why I found it odd that he wasn't being detected. But I'll ask the Level 1 NPC people, just to make sure.

Yeslick starts to lag after I killed Firkraag (red dragon). It seems as if he has something to say to charname but could not. Once you have moved charname out of his sight, he moves fine.

That's funny, Yeslick was working perfectly fine in a new game, I think I had had him for a good 10 days or so. I completed Firkraag's dungeon and after killing Firkraag I tried to CTRL-J to speed up getting out and low and behold even though I select entire party, everyone jumps but Yeslick. He's also back to where even walking he won't go to the point I select for him, and once I again I can't sleep with him in the party. :(

Yeslick keeps trying to initiate dialogue but has nothing to say. have i missed something? im still in chapter 2. if you can help me out that would be great :o)

When did he start stuttering? If you killed Firkraag, it looks like there's a stutter bug, but I won't be able to fix it until next week. If it's not that, what were you doing before he started stuttering?

i just finished the umar hills/ shade temple quest line. he actually said about not flooding the temple yet and he was going to leave the party unless i did it soon. a few rests later he left the party. im using bg trilogy and my character actually has the flooded global state in shadow keeper. ive tried adjusting that but he still left.

anything you can do to help would be appreciated as yeslick is great!

Flooding the temple? I'm a little confused, as that doesn't happen at all in BG2. Could it possibly have been about something else?

sorry flood the mine* he said hurry up and flood the mine. then he said if youre not going to flood the mine im going to face the throne alone. i think it was part of his bg1 script

Is it possible you have a different version of Yeslick in your party? One way to check: where did he join you?

Attaching a fixed file here until the mod is updated :cheers: Extract it and overwrite the file in the original mod before installing to use it :P

The fix is a small change in this block in lk#yesl.baf (or bcs for an already installed mod):
IF
	InParty(Myself)
	See(Player1)
	Dead("firkra02")
	Global("LK#YeslickPlane","GLOBAL",0)
THEN
  RESPONSE #100
	SetGlobal("LK#YeslickFirkraag","GLOBAL",1)
END

Change:
Global("LK#YeslickPlane","GLOBAL",0)
to
Global("LK#YeslickFirkraag","GLOBAL",0)

Hi guys.

First off thanks for the Yeslick mod. Just replaying the BG Trilogy and had never used Yeslick but he's become one of my favourites now. So again, thanks!

I'm unfortunately having the same problem as the above poster who mentioned Yeslick constantly trying to initiate dialogue.

I'm on Chapter 2 of BG2 and I'm about 5 days in. Dialgoue for Yeslick pops up saying:

"I'd sooner be back in my cell if you wish to stroll about with no purpose. We must flood the mine to dampen the plans of the Throne!"

Obviously that's not right and is meant for when you resuce him in BG1. Hopefully it's something as simple as changing a variable.
