Did you talk to her while still being in the dungeon?

I have inspected Jaheira's escape script and found a potential loophole. She might not be available if you had talked to her in Chateau Irenicus at least once.

Triggering her appearance is a bit complicated. Try this chain of actions when you are in the Docks District. Simply copy and paste the whole line into the debug console and press enter:

For better understanding the issue: I am certain I didn't get the key to free Jaheira but I can't remember talking with her or not, it is likely I haven't, I do know it took me a minute or so to understand I need to speak with the rogue for the dungeon exit sequence, therefore it might have happened in that period of time.

Your solution worked I have a screenshot if needed.

  • Fixed Jaheira should escape even when you talked to her in the dungeon

New version: Skip Chateau Irenicus v3.2

This release adds previously missing (and long overdue) BGT support and provides an option to improve the opening cutscene in Chateau Irenicus by making it more believable.

Changes in v3.2:

  • Added new component "More realistic opening cutscene"
  • Added missing BGT support
  • Added Project Infinity metadata

I have discovered that there can be errors in the characters with the spanish translation if the files are encoded in UTF-8 format. Just in case get this same files but in ANSI encoded format.

This is only a (cosmetic) issue in the WeiDU.log, since it contains a mix of different character encodings from the respective mods. Game strings are unaffected by it. As a general advice, I'd suggest to encode all lines in setup.tra in pure ASCII for maximum readability, i.e. no accented or umlaut characters at all. Switching from UTF-8 to one of the ANSI variants may have only helped in specific cases. I have updated the file for this mod accordingly.

Ohh i fail.

I just try this mod with .TRA archives and ANSI format and the game does not start, but in UTF-8 everything works fine again xD

I better stop doing experiments.
I'll wait for the next release.  :cheers:

Love the adjustment to the opening cutscene! I for one adore Chateau Irenicus - it's one of my all-time favourite video game starts - so I never thought of giving this mod a try beyond testing purposes, but that independent component should receive more spotlight. In all those years I somehow never wondered why Imoen came out of that room with the golem rather than a cell...
