Hi, I need help with a game glitch that's preventing me from finishing the last part of Aran Linvail's quest, which means I'm not able to go to Spellhold.

I've completed everything Aran Linvail asked me to do, including clearing out Bodhi's Dungeon underneath the graveyard. However, each time I return to Aran, he simply says I need to hurry up if I want to complete the graveyard task.

I've got numerous mods installed on top on BP, so possibly one of them has messed up a global variable. If someone can tell me which global variable to tweak, I can use Shadowkeeper to fix this glitch.

Now it's also possible that I've somehow missed something in Bodhi's Dungeon that I was supposed to do, so maybe someone can give me a few hints about that too. For example, I was only able to find one coffin (on the west side near the Golem) that would let me use my wooden stakes. I searched everywhere and couldn't find any other coffins, but maybe I somehow missed others. Hints, anyone?

I did find a sarcophagus in the southern halls with monsters inside, but alas, it wouldn't let me use stakes there, nor would anything in Bodhi's bath area.

My party members are: Minsc, my character (Undead Hunter), Kachiko, Sime, Yoshimo, Keto.

Please - any help would be greatly appreciated.

To finish the first visit to Bodhi's lair, you must stake the southern-most of the three coffins in the room where the golem was. If you can't, that means that you haven't killed the vampire that occupies it. Make sure you killed Tanova and Lassal in the room of blood and blades. IIRC, it's one of them that retires to that particular coffin.

I killed both Tanova and Lassal, plus staked the southern coffin, then talked briefly with Bodhi (before she ran off), so perhaps it's just a glitch in my game after all.

Anyone know which global variable I need to tweak to make my (&^#!+&$= "wonderful" computer admit that I've completed Aran Linvail's quest?

Then check the globals 'AranJob' and 'LassalVampires'. Each should be set to 3. If they already are, or setting them there doesn't work, then one of your mods would seem to be interferring.

Thank you very much for the help. When I checked using ShadowKeeper, my ARANJOB global was set at 3, but there was no global entry at all for LASSALVAMPIRES, so that must have been my problem. As soon as I created that global and gave it a value of 3 - poof! - the glitch was fixed. It still shows up as an incomplete quest in my journal, but that's just a minor nuisance, not a game stopper. However, so long as my path forward to Spellhold is open, it's okay.

I also have two other minor quests that currently won't admit they are complete: the Maevar quest and the tanner/skinner quest. (The latter went bonkers for a while in an endless loop that kept creating multiple cloned Lieutenants of the guard until I tweaked one of the variables. I later ended up with a dead Lt/inspector body that the chief inspector in Government district won't accept, but at least I've stopped the plethora of clones from popping up at the entrance to Bridge district.

Hmmm - does anyone happen to have a set of the major global variables, and what the various settings for them do, for BG2, Big Picture, and/or the most popular additional mods, that they would be willing to share? That list would come in very handy the next time my heavily modded game hiccupped.

Hi everyone, sorry to bump this old thread but having a similar issue: I killed Bodhi and told the story to Aran Linvail but now the movie from chapter 3 to 4 doesn't wan't to start (probably due to a corrupted variable) - I say to Aran I'm ready but then nothing happen, and I am left staring at my party.

I have both variables AranJob and LassalVampires set to 3. I noticed that my journal entries are also mixed up (nothing in the 'solved quest' section, only in the user section).

'I have completed the tasks Aran Linvail set out for me, and at last the location of Imoen has been revealed'

This entry come from the 'BG2 Fixpack - Game Text Update' component btw (gtu.tra) - I don't have a lot of mods.

My only hope now is if someone know about a clua code that would trigger the movie (because this looks pretty bad!)

- Thanks for any help -

All is fine, I just needed to talk to Sime; it seems that I needed to let her know whether I wanted her in my group or not. Now I talked to her (and reported the story to Aran), the chapter 4 has started.
