There are two .ini files for the game. Check my mod thread post on that.

OK, here is my firstborn, Darghaard.
Not that there's much to tell about him now, as I'm just starting the game, but the interesting thing is his race.

Could someone guess that he is Redguard? Well, I spent so much time and efforts to mutate negroid-type model into this clearly caucasian-type one that it was wery hard to resist naming him Michael Jackson afterwards :D

That would have been my guess, yes, as I've yet to grasp the fact that other races can also be dark skinned in Oblivion. :D

That would have been my guess, yes...

You mean that he's still looks like Redguard? Darnit, I was hoping to create norse viking-style mercenary image, but if you still could recognise his origin, then I'm obviously failed :D

Or were you telling that his skin is still too dark for caucasian specimen?
Hmm... well, if I pretend that it's not his natural skin colour but rather a tan, perhaps it might work? ;)
(The truth is that I'm not so good with this colour adjusting sliders that are responsible for char skin colour :whistling:)

Yep, his skin is too dark for a tan. He could be half-redguard and half-imperial etc. though...

Try putting the sliders more to pale and change the complexion on the main page of chargen.

Alas :(

Thank you for the advise - so there's still chance to make a good nord out of him? Now, where was that plugin with ring of appearance tuning? *departs to rummage through Planet ES modlist*

This can change your appearence in-game, no setbacks whatsoever but the skill progress to level the skill up and the total level progress to level up. It won't affect those levels that you already have in skills or total levels.

Whoa! Indeed this was exactly what I was talking about, but as I managed to miss it somehow while searching through PlanetES this time I'm doubly grateful for the link :)

AFAIK they update this site constantly, and it seems to have pretty much all the mods available. Well, at least one heck of a list: http://www.tescreens...p/Category:Mods

Here's mine. Mind you, this is a rather powerplay-oriented build, and not even that a good one.

Name: Jack
Race: Breton
Class: Spellblade
Birthsign: The Lady
Current Level: 15
Major Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Armorer, Blunt, Illusion, Mysticism, Light Armor
Actually used Skills (i.e. high ranks): Blade, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Conjuration, Shield
Current Stats: ST 80, AG 35, SP 30, IN 100, WP 100, EN 85, LK 50
Armor: Ebony Cuirass (enchanted, 9% Shield), Orcish greaves (same enchantment), Orcish Boots (same), Helmet of the Mind (+8 IN, WP, LK... but Light Armor), Hands of the Atronach (+20% elemental resistances), and the quest shield with +8 to endurance and 25% damage reflection (note: Where do I find Daedric stuff? Get myself a higher level first?)
Weapons: Blazing Fury (Glass Longsword, +15 fire damage), and a few quest items
Factions: Mages Guild (Arch-Mage), Fighter's Guild (Master), Blades (Brother-Knight), and that knight order you can join
Main Defensive Spell: What? Defensive? Well... the Dragon Skin power, I guess.
Main Neutral Spell: Errr... Soul Trap?
Main Offensive Spell: Dragon's Touch, 75 Fire dmg on touch. Working on raising my Destruction (now at expert level), so I can cast some more mana-intensive spells
Combat Tactics: Go in with swords blazing. Block the opponent's attack, strike back with either sword or magic, and repeat.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move - Douglas Adams

I like persons better than principles, and I like persons with no principles better than anything else in the world - Oscar Wilde

I think the level when you start getting daedric was just over 20.

My game came two days ago.
Name: Rivian
Race: High Elf
Class: Nightblade
Sign: Mage
Factions: Arena, Thieves Guild
House: the shitty one in Imperial City.
Horse: None.

I want to join the Mage guild but I haven't figured out how to join. And no screenshot for me yet, but my elf has blue hair and for some weird reasons, she looked oriental.

You can join at any guild house, in any city, except the Imperial City since it doesn't have one.

Soul trap is a Mysticism spell, you cast it on the creature before you kill it. Soul Gems are used to recharge magic items now, rather than create them.

Hm? Why, at Arcane University you can use soul gems to created enchanted items.

Yup, but you can't just head off to any old enchanter and have them do it, or do it yourself via the enchantment skill.

What? One can't anymore enchant items himself no matter the skill? Sh*t! Even the more sh*tty as simplest of enchantments I desire costs 35K at Arcane University :(

And this all reminds me of a problem I have.. I killed a member of the Mages Guild while I was doing.. another job. So thei expelled me! Can I get back as a member or do I just have to be a freelancer (and not gain acces to the Arcane University)?
