I would like to take up valuable space on this forum by introducing Kindrek, a non-romanceable NPC for BGII--SoA & ToB.

Kindrek is a wizard-slaying, magic-hating Roc (original race from my campaign setting) who will join your group in the City Gates.

I know: another non-Faerun NPC. This is getting ridiculous! But I don't like using other people's material.....

Kindrek has extensive banters with most of the Bioware NPCs, several interjections throughout SoA and ToB, a couple cutscenes, and a ChatPack (works on the same principle as the PC-initiated FlirtPack).

Kindrek is very powerful, but he has several potentially-fatal weaknesses......

update:

the voiced kindrek mod is now available: http://www.gilalion.com/kindrekmod

this version is substantially larger than the previous one because there is extensive voicing.

Roc? You do realize that's also the name of a type of mythical giant bird? The origin I believe is actually middleastern, and proper spelling is rhuk, but the americanized spelling, which has taken over in printed material pertaining to the subject uses Roc..

Uh no Roc/Rhuk's are giant birds.. along the lines of a gianthawk.. technically more akin to a Harpy Eagle.. legend had them carying off cattle and all that fun stuff.

a bit too much metaphor coming out in me.

I mean, install without knowledge of the mod--in essence, blind corresponds to not understanding.

Roc is the name I chose for the race before I ever saw a "Roc" in the monstrous manual. ok.

and for me, once I name something something, that's it for me.

awake: is that an animated gif? cuz when I look into that eye, it seems to dim, change color, or becomes slightly altered in some inexplicable way.

To be even more explicit the legend even says and I (more or less as I'm oding it by heart) quote: "The Roc is so large that if he flies over and spreads his wings totall darkness falls across the land as the rays of the sun can no more meet the sands of the desert"

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.
