I am now finishing my graduate degree. I have my final thesis to write. For the next few weeks, that must be my priority. Once I get my degree, I can start playing again... and start going outside... and watching TV... and reading books... and enjoying life....

In my case, I'll be very dissapointed if you make a sloppy mod because of you listened those stupid people. Take your time please, and make us a great mod that will make Weimer jealous.

And I understand that you have priorities, don't let those people make you fail your degree. Just don't give on the mod please.

two months..

Hey, all. I just got a job offer that had me move out of town. Still getting settled, and just got internet back a week ago. Still finishing my degree, while starting this new job and house-hunting. Hopefully, in a couple of months things will return to normal and I can get back to my hobbies.

Well, I finally finished my degree and am settled in to my new place. Now I will have some more time to play with this. I'm looking forward to getting back into this. Not so much looking forward to relearning the things I probably forgot.

Yep, we are all here.  I've been, with many other people, coming here to check on Valen ever since it was first announced!  I haven't posted but I've definitely been a devoted lurker.

So happy for you and your new life.  I've just made a huge move, too, and know how it is.  Good luck to you and I hope to see some Valen news sometime.

New Year has passed, and we're still with you! I myself just move in a new house with my familiy, so I understand too what a new life means :-) 

AND good news: I discover that a new version of BG2 is out, "Enhanced Edition"!!

Nice. But Valen is still not playable in this new version (But I just emailed Wes Weimer if he plan to do it), and I'd like to know if your version would be playable  with only the old BG2, or (which would be great!!) with the new one too!

All this to say ...  that I'm still interested & waiting for the Valen Extension (among with all other Valen's fans )

Just curious, anybody know how far along this project is? A progress report would be cool.

Thank you. Congratulations to you too. I am not familiar with Enhanced Edition or what the impact is for modding. I imagine I'll still have some polish to do on the story before I get to the point where I worry about coding. This means I will have to look into the changes and progress on the mod tools, as well.

It's nice to see that Thorium cares enough to routinely update us on the progress of his mod.

Hello there! I'm intrigued to know how this is doing, as I remember quite enjoying the original Valen mod. Is the expansion still being worked on? If so, any news on the progress?

Who knows? Thorium has given literally zero progress updates in the past few years.

Hello. A part of me gets really bummed out that the project has taken so long. But I do appreciate that there is still some interest for my pet project. Thought that pet feels as if it has aged from a cute puppy to an old dog before being let out of the house.

I do check in on the forums when I can. I still have an interest in the mod and gaming in general. For as much as I put into it so far (writing, planning), it would not feel right if I did not finish it. I will update the community with any progress. In the event of my death, I have left a clause in my will to log into the forum and let you know that in that case, I will not finish because I am dead.

Barring my demise, I will finish this but cannot promise a timeline yet.

Yeah, we're still here. Would be nice to get some info on the progress though... If you really are still working on it, it wouldn't hurt to give your fans something to talk about after all these years

This project is 110% dead, plain and simple.

Yeah I gotta agree. Thorium should at least have the decency to tell us. It is especially insulting to the fans who have been waiting for years.

It'd be swell to see some tidbits of what you've written so far, Thorium. I'd love to see how you've interpreted Valen's character.
