KotOR II has many bugs and a lot of stuff was cut from it (PM me to find out what, as I don't want to spoil anything for you without your consent), but it is still a rockin' awesome game, easily as good as its predecessor. You are very wise to get this game; it will enrich your life greatly. And if you've played Planescape: Torment, you will see many similarities and recurring themes. Especially the Big Secret Plot Twist Device™.

in many ways its superior to the first...

in many ways its not as good as the first...

things that impressed me greatly...

complex upgrade system.
the entire plot has some major jaw dropping moments. in many ways as interesting and shocking as knights of the old republic.
the influence system has its share of detractors and supporters. its not intuitive, but i really like it since i've learned out how to use NEGATIVE influence to get what i want...
i really enjoy some of the new force powers.

things that annoyed me...

sometimes the random item generator makes me scream, other times it was great.
bugs, bugs, buggy bugs... (mainly fixed in pc version i hope)
i miss many of the random dialogs and quipps when you're talking with an npc...there were a few, but not nearly as much as kotor...

I must say i am really looking foward to the pc version...this forum should get really hopping and busy...

:)
They call me....

I played it today, I have to admit it`s interesting, albeit it does have a pretty slow and relatively uninteresting start. Seems better than the first, which I found pretty boring, but if I manage to finish this one, I`m definitely going to pay KotOR 1 a visit once again. ^_^

Is it just me, or is that starting place reminiscient of Irenicus' Dungeon? Regardless the game is shaping up to kick arse, much like the first one did (and does.) Through... various sources, I got it on the 10th, also :D

That was that I thought to in a way.
I found it really interesting that they choose the aspect of a mine again.
It's like Baldur's Gate in a far far away galaxy imo. :)

All my alarm-clocks ticked of when Atton said "fearless leader" a la Jaheira.

Jup. But the veterans of Black Isle are still the veterans in my opinion.
I didn't like Neverwinter Nights for instance. Baldur's Gate and II just had a perfect plot with perfect characters. Only Final Fantasy VII comes near that in my opinion. (And IX was pretty good also,)

Gah! Mandalore says "No one crosses me and lives"!

No, that doesn't sound like the Shadow Thieves at *all*. :bash:

Obsidian already came out with a patch for KOTOR 2 european version. Only after a week from the release. That makes me doubt how professionist they are...
