TABAXI
A cat-human hybrid race
Version: 1.5
Date: 5/7/2007
Requirements:
Player-Created MOD(s): You will need either the Unofficial Patch or kynetarse's Custom Race Fix in order to start a new game with a Tabaxi.
Unofficial Patch
Custom Race Fix

Description
This mod adds the Tabaxi, a new playable race. Tabaxi are mischievous and deceitful, fun-loving cat-people, perhaps related in some way to Khajiit... perhaps not.

Details

This mod is fully compatible with Robert's male body replacer and the BAB female body replacer. See the install instructions for details.

About the Tabaxi:

Racial Stats (Male/Female)
STR: 50/40
INT: 30/30
WIL: 35/40
AGL: 40/50
SPD: 40/40
END: 45/40
PER: 30/30
LUC: 50/50

Skill bonuses:
Acrobatics +10
Athletics +10
Illusion +5
Alteration +10
Sneak +10

Special abilities:
Resist Magic 50%
Night eye at will

Lore:
The origin of the strange race known as Tabaxi is unknown. Perhaps they are the result of magic gone wrong; perhaps the madness of the gods; or perhaps simple wicked fate. Regardless, these cat-people are known for stealth and mischief. They are quick and agile, yet strong, if not overly clever. They have a fascination for magic and magical things, especially of the sort that transmutes or deceives. Tabaxi have a strong dislike for Khajiits (and vice-versa) but are generally fond of Bretons and Bosmers.

Installation
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
(If you already have Ren's Hair installed, it will prompt you to overwrite - this should not be necessary)
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside ONE of the .esp file(s), according to the body mod(s) you use:

a. Use Tabaxi_Race_Default if you use no body replacer
b. Use Tabaxi_Race_BAB if you use the BAB female body replacer
c. Use Tabaxi_Race_Robert if you use Robert's male body replacer
d. Use Tabaxi_Race_BAB_Robert if you use both BAB and Robert's body replacers.

Special installation for Exnem's Female Body Replacer:
1. Install as above
2. Extract the "Tabaxi_Exnem_Body_Compatibility" file to a temporary location
3. Open the "Exnem" folder
3. Copy the four files from there to this folder: "Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\tabaxi\female\" overwriting when prompted
4. Activate one of these two .esp files in the Launcher:
a. If you're using Exnem's females, but default males, use "Tabaxi_Race_BAB.esp"
b. If you're using Exnem's females and Robert's males, use "Tabaxi_Race_BAB_Robert.esp"

Special installation for Corwyn's female body replacers:
1. Install as above
2. Extract the "Tabaxi_Corwyns_Body_Compatibility" file to a temporary location
3. Open the "Corwyn" folder
4. Copy the two files from there to this folder: "Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\tabaxi\female\" overwriting when asked
5. Activate one of these two .esp files in the Launcher:
a. If you're using Corwyn's females, but default males, use "Tabaxi_Race_BAB.esp"
b. If you're using Corwyn's females and Robert's males, use "Tabaxi_Race_BAB_Robert.esp"

Special installation for Growlf's female body replacers:
1. Install as above
2. Extract the "Tabaxi_Growlfs_Body_Compatibility" file to a temporary location
3. Open the "Growlf" folder
4. Copy the two files from there to this folder: "Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\tabaxi\female\" overwriting when asked
5. Activate one of these two .esp files in the Launcher:
a. If you're using Growlf's females, but default males, use "Tabaxi_Race_Default.esp"
b. If you're using Growlf's females and Robert's males, use "Tabaxi_Race_Robert.esp"

Uninstallation
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod:

All four Tabaxi_Race .esp files
All four of these folders:
\Data\Meshes\characters\tabaxi
\Data\Textures\characters\tabaxi
\Data\Textures\characters\eyes\tabaxi
\Data\Sounds\Voice\Oblivion.esm\tabaxi

Incompatibility
This mod should not have any incompatibility issues. It is known to work well with Beautiful People without needing to be merged or otherwise manipulated to avoid the "googly eyes" problem some other race mods have.

Known Issues or Bugs
None known.

For some reason the tail never matches the rest of the fur color like it does in the screenshots, its always dark redish.
