The first thing you'll notice is the changed forum structure. Directives has been made into its own section, with Directives from the Director, IE Modding News and the new RPGWatch Newsfeed (more information about that in a moment.) The rest of the Deviant's Cell has been restructured slightly and moved to the very bottom of the forum--because, after all, modding's what we're here for, right?

One minor, cosmetic change is that our tech help forum, formerly The Electric Chair is now named "The Operating Theatre." Thanks to Azkyroth for the suggestion!

Along with this restructuring we've got three new forums. The first you'll notice is the new RPGWatch Newsfeed forum, in which you'll find all the latest RPG news thanks to RPGWatch.com. Feel free to comment on the news in the forum, and check out RPGWatch for other cool stuff such as reviews and articles.

The second new forum is the Mass Effect gameplay forum, which is really fairly self-explanatory. Mass Effect is a fantastic Bioware RPG for both the Xbox 360 and PC, with an emotionally gripping story and a fantastic new setting. You can check out the forum here and the website page here. We've also added a category in the Download Manager for Mass Effect mods, so if you've created a neat retexture or a fix, we'd love to see your mods there! You can check out out here.

Finally, we have a new forum moderated by the irrepressible Scipio and the lovely Rianess. Quayle's Circus is a forum for all of your fun, non-serious random chat and games, or "mental overflow," as Scipio puts it! The Rec Room is now for more thought-provoking discussion--not necessarily "serious," but not with the aim of sheer ridiculousness. Unlike other forums at SHS, posts in the Circus don't show up in View New Posts and posting won't increment your post count. Like in the Rec Room, guest posting is disallowed.

When your craptalk forum spawns another craptalk forum, you may just have a craptalk problem.

However, you do accrue comedy points for having it moderated by a recent "leaving forever" member!

Another option along the same lines would be to let users filter out certain subfora from new posts. For example, I don't own Oblivion or Mass Effect, so I have no real interest in paging through those posts at the moment.

It certainly does. The Rec Room is still visible, but all of the sillier threads are now in Quayle's Circus.

We looked into it, but the forum software has no such option, and nobody's created a way to do it yet. So perhaps in future, but it's not possible right now.

Seb does that more than me though, he has spam... I mean echanged more greetings than anyone else.

Seb has indeed exchanged more greetings than anyone else. Actually, I'll contest that, since there's now an auto-welcome PM that gets sent to all new members, so technically I'm the one with the most greetings exchanged.
