The aim of this mod is to make robes a viable choice in Oblivion. In vanilla game Robes were both ugly (In my opinion) and useless. This mod adds some 50 new robes. Almost all of them are enchanted and all of them have new meshes. I also thought, that as a mage oyu should have a staff that you can use to beat your enemies heads with, so I added some 20 new staves. They all act like werhammers, they are enchanted on strike, but they also have some beneficial effect on the one who carries them.

You can find the new items (robes, hoods and staves) just about anywhere. They were added to leveled lists, they are being used by NPCs and some unique ones were just placed in the world. The lesser ones can also be bouht at shops.

This mod is in a BETA version, so please be gentle. Thsi si the very first time I have used the leveled lists, so it is sort of possible that there will be some small problems. Should you encounter anything strange, weird or odd, let me know here: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.ph...;#entry11173396

This mod requires Shivering isles Expnasion.

Enjoy!

PATCH to this md is now available: http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?automod...mp;showfile=500

Sounds interesting. Really. Vanilla Oblivion doesn't have much to offer for magic users. Those robes and staves of yours may change this thing... Hey, what do you think about making some of those items(those more powerful) to require proper skill level or stat value?
Btw, the forum thread link doesn't seem to work...

what is the best possible equipment for a pure high elf mage in the end game?
ive already thought out what i thought to be the best assassin which is a khejit wearing the ancient shrouded set, 2 daedric daggers with 2 enchants each, a daedric bow with 2 enchants, the nightweavers band, and krosis ( due to a glitch ) agree/disagree??

so obviously you can see i want the best possible characters, so i can be a total beast
but im new to mage, so what is the best possible equipment for a pure high elf mage?
i got some ideas from other sites and youtube and such:
i read that it is best to just disenchant any of the destruction spell robes as well as the restoration spell robes, then enchant the 4 pieces of dragonscale armor with those, and it will cost NO magicka for restoration and destruction spells which is amazely helpful, also use the dragonpriest mask that helps mages. not sure for a ring or necklace what to use, also do mages use staffs lol? or just there hands,? they to beastly for weapons,

also for that assassin build i realized i left out a necklace for it so not sure what to use there.
