Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I was resigned to having the Chanters be forever silent.  Then, on my current playthrough with a fresh install of BGT, I discovered the Chanters are signing again.  Not only that, the cows are mooing, tavern drunks burping, town criers calling out, people are greeting me in the streets.  Perhaps the only sound missing is the serving wenches not telling me to "seat yourselves wherever you like," but I can live with that.  It's like I'm playing in 1999 all over again.

Hello, all-

this is my first post and I need your help already.. ;)

I just cannot get this thing to work: - bg1 sounds in BG Trilogy weidu, i mean.

I've read the whole plot here, done the installation like 4-5 times differently, no effect.

I've got a polish language version, but it shouldn't make any difference.

Chanters, beggars, cows, anyone just doesn't use their idle (or existance in bgt) sounds...

Here is my last weidu log:

0. BiG World Fixpack (first before touching anything - and yes, i've tried without it twice)

1. TobEx Core Fixes plus some minor details, (also checked without tobex)

2. BG2Fixpack

3. BGT Trilogy+BGT Music

4. Lolfixer (areas+creatures)

As fewer mods as possible to narrow the chance of error.

I've also tried installing just BG2 Fixpack and then BGT., with or without lolfixer after that.

No freaking effect. Zero. Nada.

I'd be very grateful for help.

I'd like to ask for the permission of the people who have worked on this patch to include its modified version in the new Infinity Sounds. The new version attempts to solve the issues discussed in this thread and adds more IDLE sound effects to monsters. It would make a lot of sense to use your ideas as the basis of a component I'm working on.

When there's trouble brewing, see me post, cuz it's usually a wall o' yellow and your eyes are toast!!!"

An update in regard to what the parameter values stand for. I came up with the table a long time ago but forgot to post it here. Thanks to lynx, whom I remember I consulted about the existance sound delay.

 75 = avg.  5 s
150 = avg. 10 s
225 = avg. 15 s
300 = avg. 20 s
375 = avg. 25 s
450 = avg. 30 s
525 = avg. 35 s
600 = avg. 40 s
675 = avg. 45 s
750 = avg. 50 s
825 = avg. 55 s
900 = avg. 60 s

Honestly speaking, I did quite a few tests back then and couldn't get anything precise. These are rough numbers and inexplicable things happen every once in a while.

That said, param1 = 300 will -- for the most part -- feel close enough to the default BG1 delay.
