Check out the readme ;) the link is provided. Its a bit long so that's why I'm not posting it up in full anywhere around this joint just yet.

Edit : put down the relevant portions to your query below.

This mod introduces a variety of Hidden Kits that are made available under certain conditions. Typically all of them are obtainable by Dual-Classing at level 12, from either a Fighter, Mage, or Cleric. The amount of XP required to achieve the Hidden Kit is considerable, but so are the advantages gained. Note that certain Basic Stats are still required to successfully Dual-Class.

Q : Why doesn't my Hidden Kit work?
A : If you are cheating to hit level 12 in your first class, make sure you unpause the Game before you Dual-Class so as the script can "record" down your earlier Class. You also need to unpause after hitting level 13 in your 2nd Class so the script can apply the Kit onto you.

i have started a new game with a cleric, reach the level 12, but i can only dual him with a mage. Once i reach the level 13 of mage, i don't get an archmage.
By the way, is this mod compatible with the TDD kits?

While the Mod is compatible, the Kits are NOT. If you started with anything other than a Pure Mage, it simply won't apply the Kit at level 13.

Make sure after you hit level 12 in your FIRST Class, to let the game scripts run for about 1-3 seconds, before dualling to your 2nd Class. Don't Dual without giving the script a chance to "record" your original level.

Do you think, Zyraen, that you could make it compatible with kitted characters?
For example, I am now playing a game as a Kensai - planning to go to mage at 12 -
does it then mean that I will have to remove the kit before dualing?

Even if you didn't remove the Kit before dualling, it would be removed later when the Hidden Kit was applied. I wouldn't make it compatible because then many of the things would probably be waaay too powerful. That being said, I suppose I can try to include a component that would make it compatible...

Yes, and if you do that you'll be cheating cause the Kensai character effects and abilities will stay...

The basic idea of the mod was to have a basic class char to be dualed to other basic class char and thus gain the hidden kit. Besides, what difference is there to make a kitted char and then multiclass him with editor... and that's cheating, and what we do best. :D

But still, let's not go over the top, shall we. As it would be horribly overpowered char to have a Kensai -> Thief caster(scrolls) with full plate mail, 7xBackstab damage(+2 from the hidden kit), damage bonus(the Kensai levels just raise as as if he would be dualed) and +200 hit points +Crom Faeyr +Carsomyr +6 ... ^_^

What I would more like is to see, is the Level 1 NPCs to have the ability to dual, and then to gain the hidden kits, most preferably after I have done the required quest, with BGT in mind, and Tutu after that of course. And Minsc needs greater Wisdom, but that can be cured with Boo mod :whistling:

By the way, is this mod compatible with the TDD kits?

I just remembered, this is the Installation with the max-ing out of Kits yes? That's why the question.
Anyway, the answer is the same - it is totally 100% compatible. Why, you may wonder?
While TDD Kits maxes out the number of Kits selectable upon Character Creation, NONE of the Hidden Kits are selectable upon Character Creation ; so there is no conflict, and it will not in any way affect the number of kits you can install on Character Collection.
