ok, I decided to play MotB again since I've never finished it. The main reason I stopped playing this in my first playthrough was due to camera issues and control + my lack of understanding in 3.5 edition combat system.

Same issues are stopping me from enjoying this game again. I *HATED* the whole spirit easting system which I can't change, so fine. But I'm sure there's someone out there who can help me controls/camera. Ok, at this point, I can't progress in game because I can't access my NPC(safiya)'s inventory. I gave her some items to identify but everytime I click on her, it only highlights her and I can't take direct control of her and her inventory. She's emcumbered and she can't move at the moment. And for some reason, my character stopped running and walking instead.... =.= Any ideas how to fix this?

Is it fully patched and up to date? I played it over Christmas off a clean install (I hadn't played it before) and found it pretty easy to handle, to be honest. I didn't have any inventory problems.

Regarding controls, it's a little unwieldy - sometimes it's easier to play with two hands on the keyboard than by using keyboard and mouse. WASD controls movement. To control/rotate the camera, press Ctrl at the same time as the arrow keys. Mouse wheel can be used to zoom in and out, and to click on things (you can also move your character by clicking on the ground, and she'll run there).

To access inventories, click on the character portrait so that it's highlighted and press I. To access their character screen, click on them, then press C.

Don't forget that you can combine essences to make them stronger/more pure, which clears inventory space.

The soul eating is a pain, but if you are playing the "good" path, and keep suppressing it, the desire gets less.

I remember someone mentioning there's mod to get rid of that hunger system. Any idea where to get it? I keep dying during travels =.=

You dont really even need a mod to get rid of it...You can simply use cheats and make the soul eater thing not matter one bit...I cant remember if you can get rid of it perma...but I know for a fact you can keep reseting it to acceptable lvls at any time if it gets too high / low
