Would appreciate some input as I can follow directions fairly well but am not computer savy. Been a few years since I played BG1 so I bought the boxed set and am trying a mega-install following the FAQ/walkthrough by Dan Simpson dated 27 Feb 2010 v3.4. I got as far as installing Turnabout and went to install BGT in my game directory - however I am getting the error "Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in: dialog.tlk". I have BGT WeiDU version 1.10 dated 28 August, have it installed in my game directory (D drive), and can see the dialog.tlk file in that same location. The original file after the BG1 and TotSC install had 3.2 MB and now has 8.3 MB so I assume that these mods (patch for TotSC & ToB, oversight mod, BG2 fixpack, and Ascension) have changed the file, but don't know if that is part of the problem. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any ideas/help!

Erhm, did you install the BG1 and BG2 in the same directory ?
The BGT is installed in the BG2 directory(where the dialog.tlk file too is), which then brings the files it need from the BG1 folder that can be in anywhere else but in the BG2 directory(or IWD, IWD2, PST directory :D ), when you specify it in the installation process.

At first I did not - both BG1 and BG2 were in the same directory. Now I have them both in separate directories and am still getting the same message? Attached is a screenshot . . .no dialog.jpg

Well, the dialog.tlk file is not there... see you extracted the files in the "C:\Baldurs Gate\BG2\BGT110-install\" -folder, not in th game folder that I suppose is the "C:\Baldurs Gate\BG2\" ... you just have to cut and paste the files to the folder under them, and run the setup-bgt.exe .

Oops . . . my fault that screenshot misled you, here is a better screenshot that shows the file is there. You can see the BGT-Install file two files above it. I am opening the BGT-Install with WinRar, extracting the files, then running the exe file, in that same window, with the same results. So as you suggested, I cut the four files from the new folder created from the extraction (file folder BGT Install - can't see it in the screenshot it is above the Gibberlings file)and pasted them into my BG2 file. I ran the exe file and . . . it worked! Amazing when things work like you think they should when you do them correctly! Thank you Jarno for your help! So I shall be modding for the next hour or so, you will probably hear from me again - thanks again Jarno!!
