I'm using the GOG version. When I run the setup file, after choosing my language I get a series of error claiming "no translation provided for @-2000" and all the files are refereed to as "undefined string." Any advice?

Apparently, your .tra file (which contains all strings) is missing. Try re-downloading.
Otherwise...
What OS are you using, where is the game installed?
Please post setup-pst-fix.debug file (or whatever it's called, there must be a file with a similar name)

I tried downloading it again, same effect. I made a GOG folder and a planescape folder withing that, so it's not in program files or anything sensitive. I'm attaching the debug file. Thanks so much for your help.

It seems quite weird... Anyway, do you have the following files in your game?

C:\GOG\Planescape\PST-Fix\tra\english\fixpack.tra
C:\GOG\Planescape\PST-Fix\tra\english\subtitles.tra

Did you extract the archive with the option "keep path" (or whatever it's called) active? You should have a "PST_Fix" folder, with many subfolders and files, in your game folder.

Other idea: your version of weidu is not the latest. Download the newest weidu from here, extract weidu.exe to the game folder, remove Setup-PST-Fix.exe and rename weidu.exe to Setup-PST-Fix.exe

I was having the same trouble. Turns out that the StuffIt program was extracting all the files into the root directory without maintaining the file structure. Once I added the file folders in and copied the files manually into the right folders, it worked perfectly.

Seriously, you guys, please help me.

I'm having the same problem when installing any of the mods, so i'm pretty sure it has something to do with win7 copy/read protection, but i can't solve it for the life of me. Here's the problem.

I've got the gog.com version and i install it on a [win7(32bit), pentium dual core T4400, 3gb RAM, ati mobility radeon 4570] laptop. Following Thunderpeel's awesome guide, i specifically DON'T install it on C:\Program Files. And then the party starts. No matter what mod i try to install(be it higher resolution, Fixpack, UB or tweak) i always get the same error. I attached the debug file of one(out of a gazillion) failed installation.

Spoiler

The error is always the same:
ERROR: error copying [PST-Fix/backup/0/Torment.exe]

What's more, sometimes, after a failed installation, the Torment.exe from the game folder disappears and i can't start the game anymore. before the installation i kill my antivirus(avast), as well an maintenance program i have running(advanced system care).

That is the first scenario. In other installations, the higher resolutions install works fine, but when i try to run fixpack or any other mod the black installation screen flashes for one second and then disappears along with the fixpack.exe.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Any help or tips would be hugely appreciated. I've been trying to get this running for three days now, and it's really, really frustrating.
