Can you e-mail it to yourself from one computer to the other?

Don't think so, cause if the computer doesn't have internet connection, you can't really use E-mails either... well, of course he would then need a telephone that had net access. Now, as we'll get the logs content in four weeks, we'll just need to wait that long for it.

I don't want to give advice on something if I don't even have a 1% chance I could be correct.

Hmm, but I do. :D
And even the 0.005 is a chance of being 100% right, so what's the obsticle? Unless you don't want to waste time, but why would you wish to play the game if that wouldn't be true?

I used removable storage devices when I was working between two machines and one without internet access. USB stick, CD/DVD if the one with the log has a burner, or a hard drive enclosure are some options in that regard if the two machines have a great distance between them.

In regards to the imitated blindness effect I would check whatever file has to do with Line of Sight (distance) if there is even a file or the PROJECTL.IDS. The latter has everything to do with anything ranged. Weapons and spells use this file.

Well, I solved the faldorn bug issue the only way I could( do frequent saves and just reload an earlier save). I also have issues with the game CTDing frequently but I just reload an earlier savegame and things continue. Part of the problem with the CTD-issue may just be the extra load on the game caused by the scs1 and scs2 AI mods.

Can't even get a storage device until 4 weeks' time due to financial issues.

Can someone explain to me in precise detail how to do all the Vault quests? he return to nashkel quest was a disaster as I gathered from some vague mentions that I should check with the friendly arm inn /beregost and then nashkel before finding the culprit behind the missing book but haven't found anything in friendly arm inn at all despite asking everyone.

I'm doing the "Return to Nashkel" quest right now. The rest worked fine. I have notes for a walkthru but its kind of short (I can give area codes etc. if you need them. Here's how it goes: SPOILERS

1)Gullykin revisited - (level 7 to 9) You have to kill the ogre mage in the dried up riverbed in the Firewine Ruin map (Khark the ogre). Then when you next go to Gullykin you will be attacked by continuously spawning ogres (at different locations on the map) and ogre mages. When you get tired of whaling on them (I killed more than 400 for target practice heh, heh) find the boss in the ravine on the right side of the map. No reward from the town, just tons and tons of loot and high level spells.

2)Vestibule quest - I think this can be done at any time but is meant for level 9 to 11. Enter the vestibule (building on the side of the Beregost temple) without Edwin in your party. Talk to the two priests there. A big fight ensues, afterward talk to them again, then talk to priest in main temple (you have to stop a great evil). Then you go to the map east of Pelvdale where the red wizards are, talk to them and a big fight ensues. Return to the temple to get your reward from the main priest, and also speak to the priest in the small building again.

3)Return to Nashkel - You finish the Iron Throne building in Baldur's Gate, and talk to Duke Eltan at FF HQ. He gives you the book to go to Candlekeep, and you get transported to the BG Bridge map. Zernan the "scholar of Amn" walks up to you and tries to make a deal for the book. Say no and he will steal it (answer #3 and then answer #2) and ambushes you with his buddies then flees. The chase begins. Goto FAI map, wander over to left middle side of the map. Zernan comes up and talks and ambush number two follows, he flees. Goto Nashkel, he shows up third time with cronies, amush three. Pick up the "undeciphered note", which gives you the clue. Goto Nashkel Fair, on the right side next to the hill (4910x/1845y) there is a mysterious man who comes up and talks. (After several different tries it seems he always goes hostile no matter what answer you give him) Kill him and your journal (not your quest log) should be updated. Goto the Nashkel Mines, a fight ensues outside. Go inside and kill everything - lots of spiders and drow thieves, fighters, and a few mages. Lots of traps that cast poisonous cloud and web. I'm in the middle of it now...

4)Vampire sword quest - Get the idol from the coast and the armor from Firewine Ruins, goto Ulcaster Ruins and have mage make "Vampire's Revenge" sword. Talk with priest in Beregost Temple to start the ball rolling. (Haven't gotten there yet) You have to travel around to speak with knowledgeable people and get more clues. Eventually you figure out the secret location of the vampire hoard and travel there....

Another disaster:- I was trying to do the northern tales of the sword coast "firewine (2nd) dungeon" miniquest - the one where you go in via secret entrance which is further up the bridge from the standard firewine dungeon entrance. Trouble is, even though I had the document given to me by charleston nib, it failed to activate any secret entrance when I got to the 3rd level of that mini-dungeon(bizarrely, the document couldn't be placed into one of my characters' quick slots(only possible via shadowkeeper and even then that failed to allow activation of that document). I tried CLUAing the party to various area-codes I dreamed up(I'd assumed that the new secret area would be something like "AR54PB" as the 3rd level was already "AR53PB" etc. but the ones I guessed at didn't work.

If anyone has a clue as to how to fix this I would be most grateful. Perhaps you know how what area-code I need to put in so that I can get to the next area with the presumed demon etc.?

You'll find an item in one of the upper levels to place on the entrance to open it.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. I already got hold of the boiling oil in a jar, found on the 2nd(?) level , which gave access to the 3rd level within the 2nd firewine dungeon. The trouble is that I'm supposed to be able to access a secret entrance within that 3rd level using charleston nib's special scroll, but the scroll doesn't work one bit. What I need is the area-code for that secret area which one goes into from the 3rd level. The 3rd level of the 2nd firewine dungeons area looks like the spider-ridden altar-area in the trials of the luremaster area to the right of the courtyard one's party appears in at the start of the latter mod.

So,can anyone give me the are-code I need so I can go to the next area after reaching the firewine 2nd dungeon 3rd-level?

Nope, the "wrong end of the stick" honor is all yours on this one. Nib's scroll is the item that allows entry to the additional dungeon from the bridge.

If u have the Nib's scroll u should be able to access ALL those Firebridge Areas anyway ... u just need it, nothing else.

U don't HAVE to use the scroll as a "spell scroll", just keep it in your inventory and click on the stairs...

Now, I'm getting all confused. I'd said that I already possessed Nib's scroll but that it neither revealed a secret entrance on the 3rd level nor opened one - that's why I needed the area-code so that I could move to the relevant area without nib's scroll as the latter didn't work. Are you perhaps saying that there is yet another, 3rd, series of dungeon levels entered from the firewine bridge aside from the 1 I've already mentioned and the original firewine ruins dungeon entrance?

* The dungeon I'm referring to has zombies on the 1st level, vampires on the 2nd and spiders on the 3rd level(the first two levels come from the severed hand areas in icewind dale, the 3rd one is derived from the trials of the luremaster - the one at the right of the courtyard one enters into at the start)*

Go out onto the bridge where the entrance to Charleston Nib's additional dungeon is. Place the cursor where the entrance is and see that it is activated. Then drop Charleston Nib's scroll on the ground and try it again. See what happens. There is no 4th or "secret" level to the dungeon....

Yeah I don't know where this mysterious 4th level started. People might be confusing it with another mod. Strontium as far as I have seen there are three levels, that's it. How did your Vault progress go?

Ah, I see. I should mention that I entered these 3 levels of dungeon at first without charleston nib's scroll(I think I sold it or dropped it to make room for other stuff, previously). Then I used shadowkeeper to add it into my inventory when I reached the 3rd level and killed off those spiders. So was surprised when nothing happened. I'll try what you suggest , and go back to an earlier save, this time using that scroll etc., and see what happens.

*If there is no 3rd level, then are those zombies/vampires and spiders all I ever encounter in those 3 levels? I'd thought from a check of the ntosc readme that I was supposed to meet a demon or something behind a secret door/magical wall. Ah well, hopefully this time I'll encounter something like that.

Forget the previous issue, I finally realised that this was just a miniquest and that I'd completed it fully.

Now other issues and questions:-

When a person becomes fatigued what exactly is the penalty re combat? Also does the fatigue stay the same the longer you go without resting or are there any additional penalties for every extra 24 hours etc. not rested after showing fatigue? Does fatigue affect spell-combat?

Re constitution:- If a character had only 1 point of constitution, how many hours could he/she go without showing fatigue and needing rest? Is there are linear progression so that a character with 18 constitution could go on for 18 times as long as a character with just 1 point of constitution?

Also, could someone please give me a walkthrough for the 2nd part of the secret of bonehill mod after candlekeep? And if anyone could tell me what happens at the end of the drizz't saga part 1 and part 2. I know that the drizzt' saga is more linear than SOBH, but I wasn't absolutely 100% sure that I'd reached the end of drizz't saga part 1.

Oh, and I have all the big BG2 megamods installed. What should I roughly do in order to play through all or most of them? I assume that shadows over soubar, neverending journey and darkest day can be played in full, as well as check the bodies, but tortured souls can only be played with kachiko and yoshimo and reign of terror only with drizz't and the two latter mods don't allow one to remove those party-members and then take them back again for specific quests.

Oh, and I have azenmod installed with a secret door/area somewhere in part of irenicus' dungeon. Can anyone please point it out to me as I've never found it before?

Well, no one seems to know answers to my prwevioius question.Ah well.

Just wanted to report the various bugs:_ the little girl, megan, in nashkel who kicks off th daerthamc vampire quest didn't appear and I simply CLUAed her in without needing any help. The stone of askavar mod was completely screwed up, eben though the weidu log lists it as successfully installed. The characters only appeared if I CLUAed them in, with the areas being all inaccessible and the items were only accessible if I put them in the override folder and even then they just contained nonsense dialogue in their descriptions(I took them out again, and just CLUAed all my opponents in the stone of askavar mod all together and killed them all, as a compromise).

The Nadalin-quest didn't seem to work but I just changed Nadalin global affect value and he then agreed to take me along. The solitary valley quest was broken(couldn't get into that ara without the artificial movetoarea command)- I'd been trying to go the laternative route which didn't require going to candlekeep again, first.

Also, because of a foul-up of the bwp mod, the standard BWP install included some patch to force evil characters to leave the party if rep got too high which countermanded a patch I'd also installed forbidding characters to leave the party due to rep scores. I'lls ee if using nearinfinity in 2 weeks' time solves that issue.

Oh, and the vortex spell of the wild mage mod caused either a crash to desktop or a scene(taken from cloakwood) with a cow being carried off into the sky by a wyvern , followed by a CTD.

The last thing that has happened is the most annoying. My(rather powerful) PC freezes up, and CTDs every now and then. It happens more frequently when more enemies are around(and presumably using the SCS1/SCS2 mod-AI-scripts), and also 1 4th level wildmage glyph spell which causes random wild magic effects every split second has a tendency to tax the PC. However, frequently saving/quick-saving is my solution.

Given the surprising rarity of the above bugs, as I'd expected far, far more, I am very, very pleased indeed with the creators of the BWP project.

At first it is really very helpful, if we can see your WeiDU.log, as mentioned above. We could better handling your problems then. Without it, we have less chance to see, if the problem depends on wrong installation order, new added mods or conflicts between different components. Additional we can see, which version number of a mod you use and if the problems are solved with the newer versions. So I can give you only tips now.

Just wanted to report the various bugs:_ the little girl, megan, in nashkel who kicks off th daerthamc vampire quest didn't appear and I simply CLUAed her in without needing any help.

Here I've no clue.

The stone of askavar mod was completely screwed up, eben though the weidu log lists it as successfully installed.

All the informations in this thread depends on two different TSoA versions. You have installed an older version, where you could start TSoA in chapter 3. This were changed with the newer TSoA version, so you can start the quest in chapter 6 only, now. I think, the given tips for TSoA depends on the newer version and not for your older version.

Like erebusant told you, this is fixed with the newer NTotSC version. You use an older version.

Can you show me, which components of which mods do you mean?

Oh, and the vortex spell of the wild mage mod caused either a crash to desktop or a scene(taken from cloakwood) with a cow being carried off into the sky by a wyvern , followed by a CTD.

However, frequently saving/quick-saving is my solution.

We know of such problems and this has to do with SpellPack and the Wild Mage Mod. At the moment we speak about it here: http://forums.blackw...?showtopic=4533
But as far as I can remember, you have much changed for your own installation which depends on the spells with some spell mods (I'm right?) and that could cause the problems, too.

Given the surprising rarity of the above bugs, as I'd expected far, far more, I am very, very pleased indeed with the creators of the BWP project.

Thank you and for your final bug report.

Here I've not much information. It is a portal northwest in Irenicus Dungeon (not that which guides you to the djinn).

Thanks for the info re azenmod etc. Very useful. Would those buggy spells work if I installed the various spell mods(Not spellpack!) again(outside the bg2:soa folder and then inserted all their spells into the bg2:soa override folder?

Now, I've finished completing SOBH part 2(after candlekeep) I have no idea how to kick-start the second part of the drizz't saga after candlekeep. Can anyone tell me how to do this, both naturally and in an artificial movetoarea() way, so that I can get on and set out and complete the drizztsaga finally?

Sorry, I can't say. If you have biffed your installation try it and if it not works, remove the files from the override folder again.

You have played Drizzt Saga and so you're finished it in BG1. There exist no second part. There is a second mod, which introduced Drizzt again with a lot of new quests, but that is "Region of Terror" and you can play it in BG2 only.

The trouble is I'm not really sure I finished drizztsaga. All I remember is going into some drow caves, more or less, and not getting any hints as to where else to go, so I assumed that was it, as no other new undiscovered areas seemed to show up when I tried going elsewhere(drizztsaga seems to be reasonably linear). What happens at the official end of drizztsaga?

Lastly, can someone tell me how to make the most of the megamods in BG2? So far I've gathered that TDD and SOS can be done 100%, tortured souls can only be done if I include yoshimo (and/or?) kachiko until spellhold island where I can finally get rid of them(removing them from the party temporarily isn't an option and I can't do bodhi's evil path - or am i wrong re this?) Reign of terror automatically requires drizzt or one of his colleagues with artmeis entreri or jarlaxle being an option much later. And I can't get rid of drizzt et al until after exiting the underdark as I forfeit all sorts of quests up to that point and miss out on icewind dale after leaving the underdark caves.

Any ideas as to how to circumvent most of the above(re artificial setglobal commands etc.)? I'd prefer to keep my 5 other characters(kagain, shar-teel, faldorn, safana, viconia) for as long as possible in bg2. It would be nice, for example, to do some of the yoshimo/kachiko miniquests, remove them from the party, add them in again for spellhold, and do the same with drizzt, except keeping him for longer with the underdark and casting him out then.

When you leave the caves and come back to normal BG then you've finished Drizzt Saga.

Lastly, can someone tell me how to make the most of the megamods in BG2? So far I've gathered that TDD and SOS can be done 100%, tortured souls can only be done if I include yoshimo (and/or?) kachiko until spellhold island where I can finally get rid of them(removing them from the party temporarily isn't an option and I can't do bodhi's evil path - or am i wrong re this?)

For TS you need all the time Yoshimo and Kachiko in your party; from the beginning until after you finished and leaved the new island.

Reign of terror automatically requires drizzt or one of his colleagues with artmeis entreri or jarlaxle being an option much later. And I can't get rid of drizzt et al until after exiting the underdark as I forfeit all sorts of quests up to that point and miss out on icewind dale after leaving the underdark caves.

To do the RoT quests completely you need all the time Drizzt in your party. But to catch up Drizzt you need Wulfgar at the beginnig. After you have Drizzt in your party you need none of the other RoT NPCs. If you want to do other quests (not RoT ones) you can leave Drizzt and catch him up again, if you want to go further with the RoT quests.

Like you see above, you need most of the time Drizzt, and all the time Yoshimo and Kachiko. With your main char you have only place for two more NPCs then. So it is your decision how you handle your party management and don't forget all the quests which all the other installed NPCs bring with... :D
For BG2 and all the installed mods you should be more flexible in case of NPCs if you wish to see the most of the new contents.

Oh, here is my weidu log -file as promised:-

Thank you.

Greetings Leomar

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.
