I've been reading the dialogues and found a loop here:
IF ~~ j.32
SAY ~"Oh, hi, I want your help in taking down some slavers! Oh and by the way my father was a slaver and that may complicate things more than a little." Yeah, I'm sure that would have gone down real well.~
  IF ~~ + j.32
END

(By the way, it may be just me and my trusty Opera 9.25, but when I pressed download button, instead of offering me the .rar file, the software just opened the .rar file as they would a .html file; didn't look pretty).

I'll edit the post if I find something else. Added to the modlist, by the way.EDIT: Read it all and haven't seen more loops, but got a logic question here:IF ~~ l12.8 SAY ~I like you quite a bit, . And to be honest, I'm not really sure how to deal with that. I enjoy talking to you, spending time with you... having sex with you. (grin)~- judging from the previous talks, sex is optional, so they might not have had sex at all, and there's no reply to reflect that. Also, the readme: "a unique romance spanning SoA and ToB" - but there's no ToB content yet. And "Arath is quite a talkative NPC. She has a total of 22 PC dialogues throughout SoA and ToB (18 in SoA, 4 in ToB), as well as a number of comments and interjections. She will banter with each NPC approximately two times in SoA, and once in ToB." - probably meaning "he".

Thanks Kulyok! Fixed in local copy. Download works fine in Chrome and FF, not sure what's going on there, I'll download Opera when I get a chance and check it out.

(My post has some light spoilers, guys! Avoid.)
I started playing the mod. It was so much fun that curiosity got the better of me and I looked at the dialogue files :clown:. sigh. So first, some typos I spotted:

- For his flattery of your spellcasting technique, he says "... Watching you cast is like watching artist at work" (the f1.6 comment for lovetalk 1).
- In lovetalk 14, the reply "not having a soul, you mean?" seems to direct to 12.2 rather than 14.2 if I understand it correctly (I'm no modder so I may be way off). The next reply does similar, leading to 12.3 rather than 14.3.
- The druid messenger that gives Arath a letter says "Wreimasss"
- Hendak's talk t3.2 has the line, "...ignore it as it nothing happened"

My big question is, if you free Hendak, does the mod account for the possibility that Hendak nevertheless dies in his fight with Lehtinan? My understanding is that it can happen rarely...

As for bugs, I had some but it's probably my fault. I did something stupid; I just installed the mod it without regard to the other mods I had installed, and it retrospect I probably should have removed the mods that should go at the end, like atweaks, and reinstalled them afterwards. Some of the bugs I think were obviously an artifact of that mistake, so I'll just mention the ones I'm not sure about:

- In my install, the armor he starts out wearing was unidentified, he has no spells memorized and he has no proficiency points. Also, he has Bhaalpowers of his own, heh.
- When I reached that door in the sewers that leads to the room where you get Lilarcor, he misidentified it as the door that leads to the slavers.

Anyway, when I have more time I hope to try the mod again with a less-stupid install strategy. And I might as well mention here that I really like the writing for this mod, which was fun and matched the game's tone. Thanks a ton for your work here!

Excellent catch! I'll make sure to add a check there. Will fix those readme problems as well! That's what I get for not writing them from scratch I suppose ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I often do the same, heh :D Thanks for following through and posting some feedback, as well, as a modder that's the best kind of thanks a player can give!

- For his flattery of your spellcasting technique, he says "... Watching you cast is like watching artist at work" (the f1.6 comment for lovetalk 1).

Noted, should be "an artist at work."

- In lovetalk 14, the reply "not having a soul, you mean?" seems to direct to 12.2 rather than 14.2 if I understand it correctly (I'm no modder so I may be way off). The next reply does similar, leading to 12.3 rather than 14.3.

Oh dear! You're absolutely right.

- The druid messenger that gives Arath a letter says "Wreimasss"

For the moment let's just assume that he has particularly sibilant "s"-es :D Noted!

- Hendak's talk t3.2 has the line, "...ignore it as it nothing happened"

Thanks!

My big question is, if you free Hendak, does the mod account for the possibility that Hendak nevertheless dies in his fight with Lehtinan? My understanding is that it can happen rarely...

No, it does not. The dialogue is there Lehtinan to win in the game, but unless the PC intervenes, it's impossible. Hendak is crucial to the quest (and the mod, really), so I have considered making him definitely win the fight. Without Hendak being alive, Arath might not have the impetus to join the PC.

As for bugs, I had some but it's probably my fault. I did something stupid; I just installed the mod it without regard to the other mods I had installed, and it retrospect I probably should have removed the mods that should go at the end, like atweaks, and reinstalled them afterwards. Argh, I must have accidentally used the wrong creature! At least he has the correct spells, stats etc. Will fix in the following release. As for the other problem, chances are, you whizzed past the door where the slavers are so quickly that he didn't get a chance to trigger his dialogue. I'm not sure what I can do to fix this, but I'll look into it!

Anyway, when I have more time I hope to try the mod again with a less-stupid install strategy. And I might as well mention here that I really like the writing for this mod, which was fun and matched the game's tone. Thanks a ton for your work here!

Thank you for your feedback! I had a lot of fun writing it, so I'm glad that came through!

Ah, I didn't know that about Lehtinan. I was thinking about the door, and Arath's comment happened after we battled some kobolds that spawned. The battle might have delayed Arath's comment since when it started I was near the slaver door but wound up near the Lilarcor door. Perhaps if you keep that kobold (sometimes hobgoblin) group from spawning, since they don't seem to serve a purpose...

Anyways, thanks again!

That was probably the problem, yeah. Thanks for letting me know, I'll keep thinking about it until next version!

I reinstalled BG2 but I'm having trouble with the Arath installation again. The weidu installation screen gives me error messages, which I took a screenshot of and posted to http://i1101.photobu...rormessages.jpg.

Thanks

Don't worry about it. :) They're just warnings, and all of them are harmless.

Hallo,

first of all, thank you for this amazing mode.

Second - I´d like to ask: My romance with Arath seems to be stopped. No dialogues, no nothing. I tried to reinstall the mode, but it didn´t help.
I´m almost ending the third chapter of the game. Is there any way to "provoke" a dialogue? He seems to be stuck every time he tries to speak.

What to do? :)

What were the last few dialogues you had?

Can you enter this into the CLUAConsole?
GetGlobal("LK#ArathLovetalks","GLOBAL")

Last romantic dialogue was something like this "You are rather attractive woman, I´m rather attractive man, what about a dinner sometimes?"

Abou CLUAconsole: because I didn´t realise, I have win7, I installed the game into Program files. Would it be ok if I reinstall the game (save my saves) and then install arath again? I know, this topic is a little off, but I´d be grateful for a respond :)

Ah! You're not having a problem, you just need to rest in an inn. No need to worry about the console!

As for reinstalling in general, that would be fine, you just need to ensure you install your mods in the exact same order, otherwise the save game would be broken.

Hey K'aeloree,
Sorry I keep having problems, but on this install I'm still having the problems I had last time. The biggest problem is that when Arath kills creatures, (sometimes? or always?) the creature sticks around: if you hover the cursor over it, it'll say the creature name, and "Dead," and it will have dropped any items it had, but it's still attacking with its "hand" attack. Even Ctrl+Y doesn't get it to stop.

I also get some dialog misfirings. I've had to resurrect him, but when he resurrects, he keeps walking up over and over to say "Hello there" (which is voiced), until I save and reload, which makes it stop but triggers both resurrection comments from him. Also, this time I did the de'Arnise quest before picking him up, and when I took him to the Trademeet quest, he gave me his de'Arnise talk rather than the "Shadow Druids Pt. I" talk, although the 2nd shadow druids talk was fine.

Here's my weidu log... on my previous install, I had all the others installed basically bug-free.
Spoiler

Thanks for your help again!

Hallo there:)

I´m very sorry to bother you again, but I have a (small, I hope) problem with Arath´s quest.

This may a spoiler for those, who are playing, and are not in this part of the game.

So, I spoke with that druid lady, who told me to visit Hendak in Copper Coronet. So I did. He told me to have a chat with Bylanna and I did so. But after she asked me to check the slavers´ house (that "boathouse" in the slum district), nothing happened. I checked it and I didn´t find anything. No slaver, no slave, no note...I tried to look for a ship in the docks or in the bridge district and it was useless. When I tried to tell Bylanna, that I found nothing, there was no option to say that.

What should I do? Is it a bug, or did I just overlooked something?
