I'm still trying to get away around this but I wanted to drop by and say that I'm having a problem during the Slaver's Quest -- I've fought my way through the majority of the sewers, but now whenever I want to rest, I have the first Imoen dream, and the game crashes as soon as that sequence is over.

 

I'm not sure if it's this mod or a different one, but it seems to have to do with Arath, since I hadn't had any issues with it prior to having him join the party.

I will as soon as I get a chance -- which should be tomorrow!

 

There are actually a couple of games that do this, but I should have both. I did find a work around, so hopefully I didn't save over it @_@

 

I'm really enjoying him, by the way!

 

(Even if his reaction to the Bhaalspawn stuff makes me wanna stuff a sock in his mouth! >:[ CHARNAME can't help it, okay, bro?)

Erm, where should I be able to find my saves?

 

There is a "save" folder, but it's empty . . .. o-oa

No, it's not. . . I'm sorry :( I wasn't expecting to only be able to say "This happened", without backing it up. I got around it by telling ShadowKeeper to set HadImoenDream to 1, and so far I haven't had any more problems, though I'm not sure if I had the Jon dream or not. . . 

 

I've also had problems with the Haer'dalis Romance mod (but I will find a way to get this to work some day! I will > :( ) and some Romantic Encounters mods, and I think part of it might be my computer. I bought the main part of Baldur's Gate 2 when I was younger, and the third and fourth disks were scratched beyond repair before I ever got around to playing them (I was a careless child!) so I'm using .iso files instead of the disks. . . . . In any case, would it help if I copied what my WeiDu file says?

 

I'm really sorry for the trouble!

Unfortunately, probably not. As long as you got around it, that's the main thing! And don't apologise, it's not your fault :) It's a bug I think I've heard before, which is why I'm keen to chase it up. If it happens again, let me know!

Heya. Playing through with Arath again and having the same old stutter bug as before. Not a multi/dual class this time but a fighter with a custom kit (bowman from Six's Kitpack). I fixed it as per the previous instructions but just letting you know this little issue doesn't seem to be resolved.

Thank you for this awesome mod. I really enjoy having Arath in my party.
So far I had some problems during his quest in chapter 6 (conversation did not trigger). Also the game chrashed when I spoke to the guy who should bring my party to the mine.
I fixed them thanks to the earlier posts, but now the game also crashes if I try to enter the mine.
Unfortunately I missed to make an earlier save so I guess I can't escape the mine area.
Can you help me please? Otherwise I can't continue :(

I'm having this issue - but can't seem to fix.  Any ideas?

Okay, I think I may have found the problem. For any who have this problem:

 

Go into /arath/areas/ folder and copy the file "lk#ar1.are" into your override directory, and reload the save and try then. 

 

 

New version will go up soon, in the meantime you can grab the fixed version from github

 

Edit: and just made the fighter LT2 variant the catch-all, so that will always trigger if you aren't one of the other specified classes. :)

Ah sorry, no, I tend to delete all my saves every time I make a new playthrough. (For the record, never had any problems with the mines :) )

Hi!

 

I've been playing through the Arath mod and love it so far, but I have a problem - I rejected Anomen on his "flower" lovetalk, right after he becomes a knight. However, immediately afterward, Arath walks up to me, says, "CHARNAME, have you got a moment?", after which I receive "NO VALID REPLIES OR LINKS." This message keeps repeating, no matter what I do. I tried to stop Anomen's talk from triggering, but then Arath breaks up with me, saying that he doesn't want to come between me and Anomen, and I can't reject Anomen instead. How do I fix this? Do I need to go back to an earlier save?

Sorry for the lateness! I think I fixed it - I just let the talk where Arath breaks off the romance play out, then manually set his romance back to active using Shadowkeeper and broke it off with Anomen afterward. Post-Spellhold now, and the romance seems to be progressing just fine!

Hi, I just installed the EE version of Arath and am really excited to get to know him better! Unfortunately, I think something isn't working right, or I messed it up. I picked Arath up AFTER doing the Copper Coronet slaver quest (but still got his convos there), then took him through the sewers to do the rest of the slaver quests. I got the chat as we walked up to the door, the guard yelled at us, then I went into his dad's old room... and that's the last he's spoken to me. Did I miss something? Is he supposed to talk? Did I completely mess it up because I picked him up slightly late? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey Impsy! I think by recruiting him late you have broken his quest progression. I don't believe it'll cause any issues, but let me know if it does. Just wait a while longer and see if he talks in another two hours or so-- if he doesn't, shoot your savegame to liam.esler@gmail.com with an explanation and I'll see what I can do. :)

 

In future versions I'll ensure you can't recruit him if you've finished that quest to ensure this doesn't happen for anyone else, thank you!

Wow, thanks so much for the quick reply!! Is he supposed to say something after you clear out the slaver base? Am I supposed to find something there? I just want to redo as little as possible, haha
