I'm not sure, but if this mod adds *only* the EE kit (as stated in the description) to *BG2* then that's a wrong cathergory and the mod should be in Misc. Released Mods section :)
Still nice to see some new mini-mods :)

Thanks so much for this mod! I've actually been dying to try this new kit, but I've been putting off downloading BG:EE just because I'm waiting for the NPC project to become compatible with it. I don't much care for silent adventuring.

Does not work as intented. As a paladin kit you character still fall if reputation is low enough, and this means loss of all abilities.

Kit description:

BLACKGUARD: The Blackguard epitomizes evil and is nothing short of a mortal fiend. The quintessential black knight, this villain carries a reputation of the foulest sort that is very well deserved. Consorting with demons and devils and serving dark deities, the Blackguard is hated and feared by all. Some people call these villains "antipaladins" due to their completely evil nature.

Advantages:
- Immune to level drain and fear.
- May Rebuke Undead as a Paladin of the same level.
- May use Absorb Health ability once per day.

ABSORB HEALTH: Deals 2 points of damage per level to an enemy, healing the Blackguard the same number of Hit Points. A successful Saving Throw vs. Spell negates the effect.

- May use Poison Weapon ability once per day every 5 levels (starting at 1st level with one use).

POISON WEAPON: Each successful hit within the next round will inject poison into the target, dealing an extra 2 points of damage per second with no Saving Throw (for a total of 12 points of damage). Moreover, if the target fails a Saving Throw vs. Poison, he will suffer 1 additional point of damage per round for 4 rounds thereafter.

- May use Aura of Despair ability once per day starting at 2nd level, with effects that improve based on level:
2nd level: Bestows nearby enemies with a -1 penalty to hit and damage rolls and a -2 penalty to Armor Class.
6th level: Bestows nearby enemies with a -2 penalty to hit and damage rolls and a -2 penalty to Armor Class.
15th level: Bestows nearby enemies with a -4 penalty to hit and damage rolls and a -4 penalty to Armor Class; causes Fear in enemies of level 8 or below.
20th Level: Bestows nearby enemies with a -4 penalty to hit and damage rolls and a -4 penalty to Armor Class; causes Fear in enemies level 18 or below.

Disadvantages:
- Must be evil.
- May not cast Detect Evil.
- May not cast Protection From Evil.
- May not use Lay on Hands ability.

The mod also has a few extra files in the directory, nothing critical, but anyways, they are: SETUP-BLACKGUARD.DEBUG and the "backup" -folders content...

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

if you do something evil, you become a fallen paladin    Doesn't really work for a character that is required to be evil alignment

badly coded, not compatible with anything including the game itself. I thought the days of override mods were over years ago... EE seems to have brought us a step back in this.

Ouh well, you are welcome to make better try yourself... and what comes to the overwriting, well that's always a concern when using non creative/unique spell names... but that's wrong with all the other non compatible mods too, not this one alone.
And what comes to the falling from the paladin class, well the BG2 doesn't have non falling Paladins unless you account the Fallen Paladin itself, yes, that's a kit too ... but again it comes with the compatibility concerns. And then there was the surreal Blackguard fighter kit mod.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
