NTotSC not-very-spoilerish indications needed

I am currently at Chapter 6 with DSotSC and SoBH(Part 1) finished. Right now my character just talked to Duke Eltan first time (and he mentioned about the new maps). 

From what I have heard and experienced, NTotSC is not bug-free if players don't complete the game in specific order.

I checked so many walkthroughs and posts to grasp a brief idea of what to do and what not to do.

As this post indicates, none of the walkthroughs tells the exact steps (to prevent new players from bugs). 

I remembered I saw a post talking about some specific actions that new players need to know without spoilers.

However I can't find it after searching and checking the first 7 pages of this forum. 

If anyone recalls post like that, please link it here. That's exactly what I need.

Turns out drow items that didn't disintegrate may break the code of Sil in the North Coast. 

I repeated the whole North Coast run without drow items and finally finished both the North Coast and North Citadel. 

Now I am at Salamander Island and talked to the Ice Salamander, I have to ask: 

Is it okay now to go to chapter 7? 

I want to make sure the book of Ignorance quest is finished without any problem nor would I want to reveal Reedrig/Haeball too early.

For the book you must have been to Candlekeep
To advance with Reedrig and the Salamander you must have been through Durlag
About Haeball. I am not sure what all the options are
(All this is from memory of having it played quite a number of times - but not always the same way)
