Thank Leonardo Watson for his efforts to building so big project of Baldur's gate.

I have read the BWP v15.7 and find the Baldurdash in BWP v15.7 is updated to1.74. However, the latest version of Bdash is updated to 1.75 and I cannot find a link to download 1.74.

Can I use Installpack 15.7 to install Baldurdash 1.75 without compatibility issues? If not, where can I download Baldurdash 1.74?

Thank you very much!

You would do better if you just forget about the BWP and use the BiG World Setup aka BWS.

The BWP has never used the real version of the Baldurdash Fixpack, really... and it's there in the past for the Tortured Souls mod requiring it, mostly, as that's one of the megamods that the BWP tried to keep compatible. But that too has been updated beyond the BWP's version use-age, it's up to v7.06 now.

The 'bigger picture' in this is that Vlad has said he will combine all his mods (TS, NEJ, Keldorn Romance and BDFixpack-weidu) to be one mod. So it's in transition and the trying to now make it compatible with the rest of the BWS is just as much redundant as in the past 10 years. Aka it can be done... but it's soon going to get an update that will invalidate half or all your work and you need to restart, as the past archive is gone.

Of course this doesn't remove the fact that the Baldurdash + NEJ + TS can very well be played together, but you would be better forgetting about the ~497 other mods you might wish to install together with them, as you can install just those three manually.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thanks for your help. It is indeed a problem that the update speed of BWP is slower than that of some MODs. However, I doubt I can customize my preferred component installation by using BWS. I will download each MOD I am interested in and find the version mismatch with the MODs mentioned in BWP document and deal with the mismatches individually. The number of the MODs to intall is not large and I hope I can resolve the infrequent mismatch ploblems with the help of forum.

zm2006, you can use my patch for BD v1.75 from here: http://www.shsforums...-world-fixpack/

Do not forget to verify component numbers - they are changed.  Hope, this fix will be integrated into new BWP sooner or later.

Thank you for your help, EvilMax. How to use this patch with BigWorld InstallPack 15.7? Did you prefer to install BWP using BigWorld InstallPack or manually?

I use it with BWP individual.bat.  new BDash changed components merging them, so I returned 'almost' original list. 'Almost' because one component merged inevitably and I see no need of making it separate.

To use this patch, do the folloowing:

1. Enter BiG World Fixpack\Bdash\_depends\bg2fixpack\ directory and then remove 1.74 patch. After that put my patch there.

2. In Bgi World Installpack's individual.bat check component numbers in places where BDash is installed (I did it for process.bat too). Calls in several places should look like:

Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "0 2 4 5 9"

or

%IFNS%BP%IFNIF%DSoA.exe Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "7"

or

Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "13 18"

or

Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "19"

or

Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "17 20 21 24"

or

%IFNS%stratagems.exe Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "22"

or

Call %EINSTI% BDToBv175 "8"

or

findstr /I /M "BDToBv175.TP2~.*#.*#5./" %ELOG%>nul

You will see similar strings. Some will match already, some have component numbers shifted (main thing to check - component numbers)

3. In Installpack's List.txt  change 1.74 to 1.75 mod version:

BDToBv175=Baldurdash                          │ restoration    │                    │             │

4. In Tra.txt do the same, change version:

BDToBv175=En-0,Ge-1,Ru-2

5. In ModChecks.bat again change version:

%IFNS%BDToBv175.exe (

After that you can run your individual installation (choose installing using individual.bat) and enjoy BiG World :-)

Thank you for your detailed explanation and patience. I will try as soon as I download all the MODs I am interested in. For I have never installed the BWP using BWP Installpack before, there is still a question . You mean you use individual.bat immediately regardless of “BiG World Install.bat”? Could I start my installation from “BiG World Install.bat” after the preparation as your instruction?

You start BWP by "BiG World Install.bat" (choose installing using individual.bat when bat-file asks) then it uses automatically at right time and place your edited "individual.bat", then wait few hours (depending how many mod you choose) and you have BWP game to play. :D

CHARNAMEs excellent adventures in the world of BWP expert-install here

Thanks to Leonardo Watson for making this possible
