Mod Information

This mod brings Yeslick from Baldur's Gate to BGII: SoA, with an extensive variety of banters and interjections, a new kit (Alaghor of Clangeddin) as well as a number of PC dialogues throughout the game. Yeslick is an older dwarf, a devotee of Vergadain, dwarven god of wealth and luck and Clangeddin, dwarven god of war and battle.

He tends to model himself as the father-figure of the group, and can often be found trying to help the party to reach their potential... to mixed results. He has a kind heart and a steady hand, and is loyal to the PC to the end.

When asked about his past, Yeslick chuckles grimly. "There ain't nothin' there ye be wantin' to know, young 'un. Trust me." From what you have gleaned, Yeslick is peculiar for a dwarf; a follower of Vergadain, the Dwarven god of wealth and luck and Clangeddin, Dwarven god of war, he is an unassuming companion with an aversion to alcohol and the undead. You know little about his history beyond that he grew up in the Dales to the north and that heat makes him extremely irritable.

Is this mod compatible with BGT? As in if I take Yeslick in my party in BG1 will all the extra banter and stuff carry over to BG2?

No, it will not seamlessly carry over I'm afraid.

Does he have any crossmod content? I would love to use him, but I also want Ajantis in the party for BG2... ò.ò

thanks for modding Yeslick the npc for bg2. He is one of my favorite npcs over all.

 

I wonder if i may install him into bg2 ee  would it work?

Please, make throne of Bhaal content for yeslick because there are not many dwarf mods.

Thank you so much for making this mod! I always liked Yeslick and BG2 really needs an alternative to Anomen! (I like Aerie, but I don't wanna take her along Every Single Playthrough!)

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working with BG2EE...

 

So here is my Question:

Would it be much work to make this mod EE-compatible?

I would be ever so grateful if you decided to do that! If not, would you give permisson for someone else to do it? I have no understanding of coding and stuff whatsoever, but perhaps some wandering group of adventurers would be willing to do the job. I spent some time on the BGEE forums and noticed that many other players feel the same urge to have Yeslick in BG2 as I do.

 

Any chance on a reply?

Hello. I am very grateful for the existence of this mod. Still, i have spent hours unsuccessfully looking all over the internet for the answer to this one question:

 

Is BG2 Yeslick conceptually compatible with BG1 NPCs Yeslick? Authors are different, this i can tell. But was BG2 Yeslick made with some degree of awareness regarding who BG1 NPCs' Yeslick was? Or will he appear to be schyzophrenic in BG2 if i spent time with his BG1 NPCs' version during BG1? Worth noting is that since i have struggled to get a satisfying modded install of BG for a decade, i have yet to actually experience BG1 NPCs' Yeslick. And so, i have no reference. Some advices?
