Firstly, let me thank Shodan for hosting these pictures.

Now, most of these shots are from the late 2002/early 2003 build. This is old stuff, but some is still valid, while others have changed to some extent. However, it's still content, so feast your eyes on this.

Great stuff. ;) The dragons eye reminds me of Turin meeting Glaurung at Nagothrond.

Finally the day I was waiting for... about 12 months(?)

Anyways, nice screens. Good thing my patience paid off. :) The language is very rich and fluent, and you have some very different choices. And the combat seems entertaining too. :) You would never be expected in ToB to play as a god and face off lower level enemies too. ;) The areas look outstanding too. Everything looks outstanding. However I have to complete a modding project of my own before I even dare to click on the DL link for RtW.

I really wish that you would have been part of the Bioware team when they were producing BG2.

Another interesting thing I see, is that you don't seem to be participating in Fanfic boards (despite your dedicated writing). Although JCompton nor Simon participate either (I've seen some quality writing from both of them). :)

Keep up the exquisite work of RtW. ;D

P.S. Mind if I ask you how you got 25 timestop scrolls and 7 meteor swarm scrolls there (the screen with outside fighting with Sarevok selected)?

One last question about this mod for now (I read the FAQ once long ago...): Will the SoA Windspear be expanded?

The smell of cliche?

The language is very rich and fluent, and you have some very different choices.

Some of those choices will only be seen by players of a certain INT, since they require a little more thought to come up with. The thick Imoen chat is missing an option, since the player simply isn't smart enough to think of it.

There's a lot of that sort of thing in this quest. Different people will see different things depending on their character.

Another interesting thing I see, is that you don't seem to be participating in Fanfic boards (despite your dedicated writing). Although JCompton nor Simon participate either (I've seen some quality writing from both of them).

This mod is my fanfiction. I've never felt the need to write stories over on the board. Actually, I did start work on a short story once, but didn't get very far. I get bored easily.

P.S. Mind if I ask you how you got 25 timestop scrolls and 7 meteor swarm scrolls there (the screen with outside fighting with Sarevok selected)?

That Cuv's party, you'd need to ask him. All the shots are his.

One last question about this mod for now (I read the FAQ once long ago...): Will the SoA Windspear be expanded?

There was discussion of adding something that would hint at events to come (we have made a couple of subtle SoA additions that most people will likely never notice), but this hasn't been finalised yet.

So, does the PST dialogue style jar?

Shots look nice. :)

If you're talking about the "Speech" and action style, it might jar a bit when you're playing the game itself and transition to RtW. Though I'm not sure what can be done about that - either make all game text start and end with ", or just put the actions in brackets or something?

The test will be in the playing.

Nice screens Quitch, I appreciate them (although half of them was already there in the old thread, just as you said). ;)
The introduction screen is perfect, might I ask the author's name?

I'm still curious as to how you're handling the mystery new NPC's interjections. Isn't it going to look particularly strange switching between BG2 and PST style suddenly?

Is "she takes you to one side" grammatically correct? I am an ESL, so I have no idea, but it sounds strange. And, yes, the persistent use of different dialogue style will look very odd imo. But the screens themselves look neat and lovingly edited.

That was a party I use for testing... hehe... very high level with tons of stuff to use. Just disregard the inventory.

For me it seems perfectly fine.

I think it should be "she takes you aside" or "to the other side of the room" or something like that...

True, I too have a few doubts about this, but hey, lets just wait and see how it works..

The picture is by Bob Eggelton.

I think it should be "she takes you aside" or "to the other side of the room" or something like that...

Well, you can't use the later since there's no way of knowing if the party is in a room. To the best of my knowledge, the sentance I have used is fine, and I prefer it to aside in this instance.

I'm still curious as to how you're handling the mystery new NPC's interjections. Isn't it going to look particularly strange switching between BG2 and PST style suddenly?

Our beta testers never gave any negative feedback in this regard, in fact one said they found the standard BG2 dialogue a little empty after they got used to actions and description.

We'll just have to see. This isn't something that's going to change.
