Would it be possible to extend this concept to others protagonists in order to avoid to reequip all items after a resurection? It would be nice to have players 2,3,4,5,6 lay down on the floor at 0Hp and stand up only if a resurection spell is cast on them by exemple.

What do you think ?

Hi All,

 

I get an 7166 (I think) error sometimes with this mod. I kinda find it irratating. I can't uninstall it because I have BWP and it brings up errors.

 

Is there an easy way to disable it in Near Infinity?

The actual coder of the mod is on hiatus and I am not able to help you. The mod installs and plays correctly for me (BGT) but more than this I can't say.

From the Salk's post, you can determine that: The answer is no.

But I'll give you this bit, as the mod tweaks the BGMain.exe with an update, you can use the backup made from it's backup folder, now the problem of course is that you are likely using tons of other mods that edit the BGMain.exe and the edits that are installed after this mod won't carry over either. So you can try to use the backups file, but you are unlikely to get a game that's actually really playable, without re-setup using the BWP's tools. Yeah, the BWS can uninstall ! if you used it to make a backup, and it can do the whole restoration of the original game in a 30 seconds. The installation process will take the previous amount, but that's cause it needs to edit individual files.

Hello,

 

Don't know if it's my install but this mod doesn't work in multi-player with BGT.

 

An other bug in single player mod, sometimes you become unkillable after an automatic resurection.

Hello!

After a long time I decided to take a look at this. I am no coder but I attempted to fix a few minor things. No EE compatibility though.

 

I need some help for translations into russian, spanish, french and german. A very minor job.

 

Once I have that, version 1.7 will be out.

Thanks! Maybe you will investigate my bug report about double body at Centeol. You don't need to care about EE because it's build in feature.

 

I will take a look once I reach there. ;)

No. And this thread is in the wrong section of the forum, as there's no SHSforum download address [anymore], so... the only release there is is the v1.31 at blackworms... funny version naming scheme by the by... as regularly a v1.7 comes before a v1.31, but then again you would need to be able to count upwards to realize this. :lol:

Immunization against slaying effect
Tweaked Shaol encounter to avoid her killing the protagonist via dialogue
Made the safeguard for transition to unconscious state more robust
Incorporated Polytweak's Pnp Mind Flayer Attacks

- Version 1.45: Improvements to the dying script
Partial solution against Aec'Letec's game over by death gaze on the protagonist

- Version 1.5: Few changes to the awakening script
Game over only on Party Dead will no longer interfere with the regular execution of the petrification fix
Game over due to the protagonist leveldrained to death is now much less likely (but still possible, sorry)

- Version 1.55: Attempt to fix a bug where the knocked out protagonist would stand instead of staying on the ground

- Version 1.6: Improved compatibility with WTP Familiars

- Version 1.7: Further compatibility with WTP Familiars
Minor code changes

Figured I might drop by and report I went through an (almost, now) complete & mod-heavy BGT run with this little pearl of a tweak installed and never encountered any problem to speak of. Kudos for that! Of course it sometimes leads to ludicrous situations when you split your party, but the code is robust enough that the worst that could happen is a mildly annoying stutter as CHARNAME tries to rise, yet is immediately knocked out again - quite funny, really.

 

I will also say that I am usually quite sceptical of ease-of-us tweaks such as this which seem to scream ludonarrative dissonance - but in this case, so does a reload, really. Charname can't fail by definition, so this mod is really just giving you the option to choose the lesser of two evils! There is no resurrection for Bhaalspawn, so the best way to rationalise it is some divine regeneration ability (as depicted in those novels-thou-shalt-not-mention, incidentally... )

 

So if you're like me and sort of sitting on the fence about it, I would wholeheartedly recommend you to install this mod.  :new_thumbs:

 

PS: Oh, and major props for the gallows humour of 'been there, done that'. That little phrase dispelled my reservations about this mod instantly. Precisely the thing I would imagine snarky Journal!Charname to say.

Hi,

I am thinking about it is possible to make an option that prevent drop item on common npc death? It will be nice be ready to battle instantly after NPC death :lol2: . I know that in Tobex exists option that allow drop items after petrification death, but in reverse way?
