Thought it's better to pin and update this as needed.

INCOMPATIBILITIES
Certified Incompatibilities
  • Archer of Sylvanus Kit
This one and our usability system clash completely.
  • NPCKit Pack
All components which alter the kit of Imoen or Nalia won't work correctly with the HLA component.
More generally, anything that alters the kit of a dual/multi to or from a Mage is to be considered incompatible unless stated otherwise.
  • Enhanced SoA
That mod introduces a bug which causes fighters HLAs to crash on loading. It's nothing of our doing, the bug is 100% made by the author of said mod (and incompatible with your game and/or any mod setup).
"Lesser" Incompatibilities

A "secondary type" of incompatibility is still given by external kits, when they're duallable to thief. They won't act correctly in regard of Use Scrolls.
The following kits are corrected:
  • Generic Archer, Anti-Paladin (Tactics mod)
  • Peerless Archer (Warrior Kit Pack)
  • SharpShooter
  • Selune, Shar, Tempus (Cleric Remix mod)
Similarly, mod items aren't compatible with regards to Sword Angel and Armor Revision components.
The following mod items are compatible:
  • Rogue Rebalancing
  • Item Upgrade
  • Ruad
  • Freedom's Reign
  • Reign of Virtue
The following mods need special attention:
  • PnP Celestials
Although I haven't checked that mod's coding, I suppose that, if you want both Refinements and PnPCels, you have to install PnP Cels after Refinements.
  • Druidic Sorceror
If you install DrSorc and then Ref, the DrSorc won't get his special HLAs, but only the standard Sorceror's from Refinements.
If you install Ref and then DrSorc, the DrSorc will work, but the standard Sorc will get core TOB HLAs.
  • TDD. If you want TDD kits (from TDD, TDDsinTDD, TDD-weidu, BP) and the sword angel, you need a TDD kit killer.
The same goes if you have lots of fighter kits - RtT, RtT Kit Pack, Tactics, Ashes of Embers and Warrior Kit Pack all add fighter kits, so check out first!
  • Ding0's Virtue and The Bigg's Tweaks can be installed in any relative order.
  • G3 Tweak Pack: Dual-able barbarians has to be installed after Refinements, the rest of the G3 Tweak Pack has to be installed before Refinements. (install A before B, B before C and C before A :) )
  • Domi's Kivan of Shimlista should be installed after the Sword Angel Component.
Most of other mods should be installed before Refinements.

Windows:
  • Taskmanager: having this program multitasking with BGII will conflict with the dualclasses' handling by the engine. If you have Taskmanager on and you have dualclassed / regained old abilities from a dualclass / select either one of Use Scrolls, Improved Blade Spins or Feral Spirit and you're facing a problem, turn TaskManager down and stuff might work correctly.
For the unsaviour: TaskManager is the program that pulls up if you ctrl-alt-canc in Windows.
OTHER PROBLEMS
Currently pending:
  • An issue with the jester song whereby the song stops being applied after a round.
Solved:
  • Standard warriors aren't able to allocate points to two weapons fight: you need to update the 'Divine Remix' mod to version 3 or higher.
  • An issue with the french translation; solution is available here thanks to the translator: [attachment=2897:attachment]
