Heya,
Does anyone know a troubleshooting forum where I could find some answers, considering Morrowind and mod install problems?
Or can I just whine here? ;)

Unfortunately, some mods work only with a certain version of Morrowind and if you got different version... they won't work. And some mods, of course, don't work with each other but aside these, there could also be bugs in the mods that prevent them from working properly. If it is about some of these things, you need re-edited versions of the mods or you could do that yourself via TES Construction Set.

Well mainly it's the beginning which confuses me. I have Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmoon and Tribubal + Bloodmoon patches installed. Then I installed a whole bunch of mods, which, however, should have worked with each other. Anyway, then opened Data files from the launcher, ready to choose those mods, but in all quest based mods there's a note which says that Morrowind.esm or Tribunal.esm has changed since last save and this may cause problems further in the came. Also, I got the "One or more of your plugins yada yada"-warning when I started the game. So, I figured out that multi-installing isn't that healthy thing to do, so I uninstalled everything and even deleted files and did a new install for Morrowind, expansions and patches, and then installed only one mod, CON1. And still I got the same note! Am I missing something here? I've followed all installation guides, and I surely haven't changed .esm's in any way!

I did a quick tour in Seyda Neen and all seemed to be fine there; NPC replacer worked and CON1 seemed to start alright...So, should I worry or just ignore the problems??

Well, as long as it works properly, what's there to worry about? But it is annoying when the warning pops up everytime when you start Morrowind. And it could be that the mod was made using an older patch than yours. I recall that it was made some time ago and before the latest patch was made.

Yeah, morrowind likes to give a lot of warnings, especially when you install and uninstall mods and when using an existing savegame with new mods. But most of those warnings are harmless and doesn't affect the gameplay. The only time when something bad is going to happen is usually when morrowind gives you a message saying that it cannot find a script/mesh/texture, that can crash your game.

One suggestion - download the TESTool by ghostwheel (it is in the pinned thread 'tools for modder'). Even you are not modding, use it to clean all the unofficial ESPs before playing it. It helps a lot.

To prevent the headache of clicking Yes every time the error messages pop up, I recommend you to add the following line to your morrowind.ini file, at the [General] section:

AllowYesToAll=1

This will add a 'Yes to all' button to the popups and should make playing much more enjoyable. ;) Don`t worry about those messages, they only appear if you install new mods and don`t save your game afterwards. Just select 'Yes to all', save your game and the next time you load it, no more warnings. :)

Better Heads Mod is a face replacer mod, and like many other face replacers, it replaces all the original Morrowind heads with new ones. The only face replacer mod I know of that adds new faces but also keeps the original faces is World of Faces, here is the URL for the download:

http://www.rpgplanet...t...ld of Faces

You can try it out instead of Better Heads, but I haven't try it myself.

If you only want to give your main character a new face, but want all the NPC to have the original faces, then you shouldn't use a face replacer mod, but instead try to find a face addition only mod. If that is the case, let me know and I will post some links I know. Hope this helps.

The "XXX.esm has changed" message is Mostly Harmless ™; I've never heard of anyone having issues because of that.
The cause is as Silver said: The plugin was created with an earlier version of Morrowind (before the latest patch, without Bloodmoon, or anything).
In 99%, plugins are compatible backwards; that is, MW-only plugins also work with Bloodmoon and/or Tribunal installed. I've never encountered a plugin of the remaining 1%, either, but it's at least theoretically possible.

Ziggy: What happens if you uncheck betterheads.esm from your launch list?
Anyway, the whole point of Better Heads is overriding the original NPC heads.
