I have been looking, and it looks like it may be possible for the werewolf, but i'm not sure about the vampire. I am thinking about making an encounter with the PC and the party where the PC gets bitten by a werewolf, and turns into one himself.

***POSSIBLE SPOILER***

When in the asylum, i think, i forgot where exactly it was, the PC gains the ability to do the slayer change. Since there is already the werewolf ability, i was thinking about making a difficult encounter, not necessarily entirely difficult battlewise, but difficult dialoguewise, where the character gains the ability. Same thing with the vampire, i don't think that's possible though. Anyways, i was hoping people could tell me if it's possible, and if they think it is a good idea.

The werewolf is dead easy, as the ability is already available in the game. The vampire is tough, but possible; one way of doing it is to have an encounter that runs a script to turn the PC into a vampire. You'd have to build all of the vampire additions and subtractions you wanted.

There was a mod that did something close to this called Forgotten Children hosted on the TeamBG forums; you might be able to find someone who has a copy you can look at for ideas.

Well, considering the Shapeshifter Druid Kit is estenially a Werewolf, I think it is possible to code infection of lycanthropy into the game.

In BG1, in the TotSC expansion, if you go back to the mainland, and don't go after the Greater Werewolf and instead leave town, everyone alive turns into an aggro werewolf and kill each other. (^^' found this out while trying to get 3 out of six characters revived).

There is a werewolf encounter in the Windspear hills that you COULD edit to give you the Lycanthropy infection if you wish.

But you should put in a possiblity for a cure incase the player gets tired of playing a Werewolf.

thanks, i thought it should be easy. Probably make an extra encounter with somebody where they will offer to make a potion, only problem is i don't know if i can make a potion like that. One that would delete an ability and everything that came with it. Does anyone know?

Hlid will have a copy probably. I have one around here somewhere.

how come you always look so damn cool in every photo I see you in?!?

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.

I've got a copy of the FCMod in my archives. I'll see what we can do about getting it uploaded. (I think I still have Mortis' email address too. )

Edit: I've also got a copy of his tutorial for this kinda thing around here somewhere too. heheheh

Isn't there even an mod out there or being made about a thief girl with Lycantrophy? Or something

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

You may be thinking of the Delainy mod over at Gibberlings Three. I'm looking forward to that one as well.

I think I sugested something similar and by using the same system Daggerfall used. Well allmost same.
In vampire case it was the dying problem, him being a bhaal spawn. As werewolf part how about stat penalties if he does not kill a inocent.

hmm, stat penalties, i like that one. Would be difficult for me, but i think i could do that. I don't like the fact that GreyViper mentioned the bhaalspawn deal, but who knows. I think i'll still try, but i want to make knew avatars, for multiple npcs i want to make. Is this possible?

Hmm... I like this idea

I think about the portraits that you could do it the way you usually do out of game portraits.

Why stop at werewolves? There are dozens of other werespecies in the Realms, some of them (e.g. werebears and weretigers) are even good or neutral aligned rather than evil.

Can't wait for Werebears? How about:

(also available in cheese-of-use if reqd).

A very good point NiGHTMARE. What about a hugely powerful Mummy?

Hey sheol, if the vampire thing could work technically I would find that really fun.

Ravenloft as a good variety of the lot.

Werevixens (foxes, always female)
Werebears
Werejackals
Weretigers
Wereleopards
Werewolverines (Weregluttons)
Weresnakes
Wereshark (eeeh, be hard for BG2)
Wererat

basically almost any predatory animal can be a were.

I was thinking something closer to Underworld, werewolves vs. vampires, if you become a werewolf the vamps try to kill you, and vice versa. When a person thinks of a were-anything, they usually think of a werewolf, at least i do. Anways, i dropped this idea, and have moved onto a werewolf NPC. Does anyone know the time rate or whatever, because i don't know how to make it to where the werewolf will turn into a person in the morning, and a werewolf at night. I entered something that might work, but i'm not sure because my computer is really slow and it would take an hour for me to get to it, and i'm busy working on a couple of other mod ideas right now, including the dialogue to the werewolf NPC. Does anyone know how to do knew avatars. The werewolf avatar is simple, it already exists, but what about the vampire.

You could just keep the NPC/PC's avatar the same, and see if you can alter their skin to dead white.

To be honest, the In-game vampires are too egyptian for my liking.

As much as I like Queen of the Damned... I think having all those vampires look like Egyptians in a city that's modelled afte Reniassance Spain is rather ridiculious
