that usually means you haven't installed BGT correctly. i know it's tedious, but could you list what you did - ie what you installed and when?

OK, I installed BG, TotSC and patches under C;/baldur and I installed BG2, Tob and patches on my D drive. I followed the guide with regards to running thew games once to set configuration and added the Cheats and Debug Mode. Then I extracted bgt_mk3_112 to the BGII - SoA folder and ran bgt_setup.bat and it went OK but for quite a few errors during stage 3 and set the XPpatcher to 100.

I tried following the readme file that came with it, which says:

Starting A New Game

Before you begin a new game, you need to adjust your starting experience. Using the included xpPatcher.exe program located in your BG2 folder, adjust the starting experience to 100. You only need to do this once. To start a new Baldur's Gate game, start Shadows of Amn, go to new game, then the Baldur's Gate button. The New Game button will start a Shadows of Amn game. Once started, you can load either BG1 or BG2 games normally. To start a new BG1 multi-player game, use the included multi-player savegame

When I try doing this I click Single Player and Baldur's Gate is listed here and not under the New Game option???

for BGT to install, both BGI and BGII need to be on the same drive or partition - if you have BGI on C: and BGII on D:, the install won't work.

Hey, I finished reinstalling BGT but the same problem persists. I click on the Baldur's Gate button, but it still starts in Duchal's Palace and goes on to SoA???

You mentioned that you had some errors. Can you explain what those are? As for BGT, one of the issues to be aware of is that the only way to get BG1 installed correctly is to perform a custom install. When you do this, you will have the option to copy the movies over to your drive. When the BG1 game is fully installed and patched, start the game up and prepare to build a player. For some reason, the BGT mod this this to happen first (don't remember why).

Close out the game, don't bother saving the new PC. Now the same process as to be done to BGII. Before you install any mods (SoS, TDD, etc) start up a game to make sure everything is working. Close the game back out.

Now you can go through the install process. By the way, are you using the automated process or manual? Did you remember to make a directory called TS-Install? This is needed. Another trick is to run one Weidu mod (any of them) and tell it to quit. This will update all the other Setup-****.EXE files in the SOA directory. Otherwise, your install gets hosed later on.

If you are doing an automated install, it will run the program that changes the starting XP level. You still have to tell it to use 100 and tell it the location of the BGMAIN.EXE file (in your SOA directory).

By the way, the C:\Baldur directory is not used in playing the game. You only need it to build the mod. Once everything is working, you can delete that directory if you want. I keep it just so I don't have to reinstall BG1 each time I rebuild the BGT mod. You can even move it to a D: drive if you want. Just remember to move it back when you are ready to reinstall the BGT mod.

OK I reinstalled it and I think its an automated install as the XPpatcher appears at the end of installation. I tried what u said and ran both games before installing and added TS-Install, but when I installed it I had the same problem. I noticed this time that when I ran BG2 after the BGT install, there was no button for Baldur's Gate, and it was only after I extracted the 114 patch that it appeared???
Does this mean there was a problem with install? The errors in stage 3 were Unix errors???

Does it work without TS installed?? This is just for BGT, not BP/BGT? I think TS adds its' own start up GUI. Try just BGT, no other mods.

Well the autoinstaller is for BGT-BP, so if you are having problems with just installing BGT, that is an entirely different install process. You mentioned patch 114, which is the latest patch for BGT. It is not compatible with BP. So, assuming BP is not part of your install process and you are only installing BGT, lets try this again.

The same beginning steps need to be taken. You still need to run each game once just to get them setup. From there, you extract the Mark3 package into your SOA directory. By doing this, you should have a folder called bgt3. Is this correct?

You now need to run the bgt-setup.bat file. It will ask for the location of the BG1 game files (C:\Baldur). After the long install process, it should run the utility to change the XP level (which it sounds like you are getting to work).

From this point, you should now have a BGT game. You still need to add the patches, but don't bother if the Tutorial button hasn't been replaced. It should be there without any patches installed. If it is, add the patches by copying the files to the override directory.

You should be in business. If you can, please give an example or two of the unix errors you are getting.

In one of the various Installation Guides it's commented that, once u have all of the weidu SETUP files in ur BG II folder, just run the SETUP-BP-BGT-NEJ_PATCH313.exe BUT don't install it. Just let the weidu exe autoupdate and then close it. Then u can start installing things in the oficial order.
Hope it works.

Correct, and I mentioned it above. However, he is just running BGT, not BGT-BP. Therefore, most of those mods don't apply and he isn't running the autoinstaller which is where we see Weidu choke on updates.
