When I play there is no playground music. When it starts, it plays and then fades away. There is no looping.
I have bp and ctb installed.

Is this everywhere or only in certain areas? I haven't seen anyone else complain about this when mixing BP with CtB. Sounds like an install problem or you have something else interferring with the MUS files. Another program playing music of some sorts? Media Player?
