i recommend you get something solid done first, that way people know that this is serious etc. pretty much what Chevar is doing with his DEV Kit, but he already has a forum.

I wasn't offered a forum until after I put out my GUIMOD.

Err, why are you adding profs via Weidu? Just make the creature file as a PC, edit it as you choose, then convert it from chr to cre.

he couldmean what weapons they gain profs in. and that is in IESDP. look under bg2:tob 2da's, and then weapprof, i think that's the right file. even if you select only a few they will still be able to use the other weapons depending on their class, and vice versa. as for hla, that is also in IESDP under 2da's, and luabbr. here are a few. Fi0, Fi1, Fi2, those are fighters. so that part of your tp2 will look like this

~Fi0~

or whatever you choose.

i may just scratch making them a cat race and they can shapeshift into a great cat ie panther tiger lion etc and reguler appearence is elven or something and i also might make it so she gains 3 pros in BS instead of scimatar or LS because bards are the only one i think would use them thieves can't and fighters use big 2-handed swords the rckshasas were more powerful so they went into hiding?

Another race option is the Rakasta. They are already a DnD race, or ADnD, not sure which. Here is a link

All the offical Bhaalspawn are there race of thier mortal parent. I'd suggest a full raksasha, with no character class and no ability to gain levels, just a few Bhaal powers that are gained over time.

1/2 dosn't make sense
full is overpowered
full with power loss due to divine heritage!!! makes less sense.  I'm torn
how bout a full rakasha that has a strange curse that gives takes away some advanteges and gves unique disadvantages to counter the others.

Bah! Silly humans the answer rests in the balance! The answer is the question unasked - a part of the cosmic design! For example what would the Githyanki be without the Githerazai? And neither would exist without the Mindflayers/Illithids. You need to seek universal harmony, the Yin to their Yang!

Gygax never was a good study of mythology.. the doppleganger being the worst example.. but we're talking about a different creature.. please follow as I think this through..

Hindu mythology; by Dr Anthony E. Smith

---------------------------------

Raksha (aka: Rakshasa)

In ancient Hindu myth, they are a classification of evil spirits who, on occasion, can sometimes also be friendly. They often battle the gods and are thought to hurt people at night. The Rakshas are led by Ravana, their king, and are the eternal enemies of Vishnu, one of the foremost divinities of the Hindu pantheon. The Rakshas are the descendants of Rishi Kashyapa, a sage and a seer. They usually appear in the shape of a dog or a bird with a fat body, or as a skeleton.

------------------------------------
NOTES;
.. Rakshas are led by Ravana, their king, and are the eternal enemies of Vishnu ..

Ranava?

The ten-headed demon king of Ceylon in Hindu myth. With his forces of Rakshas he kidnappes Sita but she is rescued but Rama, who kills Ravana.

(Rama is an incarnation of Vishri, and Sita is an incarnation of Sita's wife - the fertility goddess)

------------------------------------

Avatars of Vishnu

Avatars were like messengers, aspects of the gods who descended to Earth. In the Hindu mythos, the Avatars of Vishnu are many: firstly, Matsya, which appeared as a fish, to the good king Satyavrate, he and his family, and seven sages and their families having escaped the terrible flood which swamped the world, drowning all its wickedness, mirroring the Great Flood of Christian myth. Like Noah, Satyavrate escaped the deluge in a great ark, filled with the beasts of the earth, and the birds of the sky. The second Avatar, Kurma, appeared as a tortoise, supporting Mount Mandara on his back, while the gods churned the sea for the divine ambrosia. Varaha, the third Avatar, appeared as a boar, to save the Earth when it had been drowned a second time. The boar went into the sea and fished the Earth out on its tusks. Narasinha was the fourth, manifesting himself as a man-lion, to save the world from a monarch who, for his austerities, had been endowed with universal dominion by the gods. The subsequent Avatars were a dwarf, then Rama, hero of the Ramayana, then as Krishna himself. Buddha is also said to have been an Avatar of Vishnu. Nine of these Avatars have passed; the tenth is to be called Kalki Avatara, where he will appear armed with a scimitar, and riding on a white horse, where he will end the present age. After that, he will sleep on the waters, produce Brahma, and inaugurate the new world.

---------------------------------------------------------

Notes;

Narasinha was the fourth, manifesting himself as a man-lion, to save the world from a monarch who, for his austerities, had been endowed with universal dominion by the gods.

... HMM! Here we may have something the children of Narasinha would be the best anti-rhakshasa! now for some playing with words..

Narasinha = NA???I?Ha

RAvAnA = RAkshAsA

v = ksh n =s
ras = ? n = s

Na?ish(a)

Navish(a) .. hmm Navash(i) sounds better to me

--------------------------

Outcome would be a Navash(i) (the "i" makes it plural) the V can be replaced with any other character.

Now.. for yin and yag. the Navash(i) would be the natural enemies of the Raksha. This meant that each would be able to kill the other they would in essence be the reverse of their yin/yang counterpart. The Raksha's antimagic is designed to be used against humans, not their counterpats. this would mean that the Navash would not use magic as their predominant attack type, and since they were born to fight their counterparts would have no use for it, seeing as it's inneffective. If you want me to follow this the rest of it's way to it's logical conclusion give me a link for the BG2 related AD&D edition of the Raksha stats/attributes. I still use 1st ed'
