In the original 4 disc set it was possible to do a full install by manually coping over all the Disc 2 files to the game directory and changing the target in the .ini file. Might it not also work for the 2 Disc version?
Maybe a noobish question, but why the producers had spreaded Ps:T on 4 CDs if it had been possible to use just 2 ?

Maybe because in 4CD version you can play from CD while in 2CD all data on CDs are compressed and you have to install everything on HDD
