I got bp installed with Shadows over Soubar, The darkest day and Tortured souls. After that I installed selected items from ease-of-use mod and item upgrade mod.
Installing was easy and I followed the instructions exactly as I did last time I played.
Now it seems my ts is messing my game up.
Item descriptions are missing and Kachiko is named Bladesinger and Sime is herself, but no item descriptions and when I initiaded dialog with her it came up with a lot of different creature names. Like She says
1. Orc
2. Shadow thief
3. Dragon etc.

And my character has the same respons choices.
I ended up with her anyway but dunno what she said and where to go and when Kachiko and Yoshimo are romancing or talking one says "Orc" and the other responds with a full description of the orcs capabilities and negative sides.

Rather amusing at first, but now Im tired of it. Can I fix this and how or should I skip ts (which I dont want) and play only with sos and tdd?
Pls help!

I fixed most of the wrongs in the game by reading a very good explanation.
I forgot the most important thing too... but nevertheless Kachiko is still named Bladesinger and doesnt talk. Dont know it the romance between her and yoshimo works, but gonna go find out. How can I get Kachikos name back and to make her talk or her sound to function?

the only real way to fix the problems you are describing is by doing a full re-install - messed up dialogues strings (such as wrong names or wrong dialogues) can only be fixed by reinstall the mod that's causing the problem. the problem of kachiko being called 'bladesinger' has occurred previously; if i remember corrently the cause was the TS part of BP was installed incorrectly - so the only solution is a full reinstall of BP.

were you doing a manual or autoinstall? if manual, pay careful attention to the TS installation part - you must have missed one or more steps. if autoinstall, do you have all four TS components (TSv50.exe, TSv503.exe, TSv504 and TSv505), are the latter two in the corrected directories, and when you ran the autoinstaller, did you *not* make the mistake listed in Yazzuie's (otherwise excellent) BP install guide by selecting the wrong directory for BP to install into?

Sorry for ressurecting an old thread like this and all, but I'm experiencing the same problems as described and Searching only brought me to this thread. I've done the install several times now, on 2 different machines, making sure to follow the guide to the letter. Am I correct to assume that the mistake you are talking about involves the final step, installing Big Picture, FULL version 161G? On the guide, it says to install it into the same directory as Tortured Souls, which is \Black Isle\BGII-SOA\TS-Install. Should it instead go into \Black Isle\BGII-SOA?

Also, when you say corrected directories for TSv504 and TSv505, which directory do you mean? The Guide says to extract them into \Black Isle\BGII-SOA\TSv504 and \Black Isle\BGII-SOA\TSv505 respectively, is that correct?

I believe it means that the TSv504 and TSv505 are what the folder names are. Meaning that you should have extracted the TSv504 and TSv505 into a folder with the same name in you BGII directory. At least I "think" that is what is means.

You should have the following:

\SOA
\TS-Install
\TSv504
\TSv505
\BGT

and so on.
